STAMPIN' UP! PANSY PUNCH

Using the SU Pansy Punch I cut two random flowers from the top piece of white card stock.  I then used Crisp Cantelope ink using one of the stamps from Gorgeous Grunge.  Before adding this piece to the Crisp Cantelope mat, I place a strip of Watercolor Wonder paper behind the openings for the flowers.   The small flowers were made with the Petite Petals stamp set and stamped with Daffodil Delight, then cut with the coordinating punch.  Butterflies were punched with the two sizes from SU.

Now for the rest of the story of my absence.............

May 19:  We took Amtrak back to Lancaster PA to pick up our car again and drove to Hershey PA.   A fun place to visit and where you can really indulge in CHOCOLATE!!!  Street lights are shaped like Hershey Kisses.

May 20:  We arrived in Gettysburg PA and took a bus tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield from the Civil War.  This is a "Witness Tree".......a tree that is believed to have been there during the Civil War.  There are several of them around.

One of the MANY memorials around the battlefield.

President Lincoln seemed to be everywhere.  He is now one of my newest friends.  My husband with President Lincoln.  The gentleman on the left is actually part of the statue but his clothes looked SO real.

This is David Wills House.............the place where President Lincoln stayed the night before making the Gettysburg Address.  We took the tour inside.

When we travel I take a lot of pictures so yesterday and today you have seen only a very few of what I took but I don't want to bore you with more.  The Eastern States have a lot of history to tell but A LOT MORE TRAFFIC.  And because the best route for us was to take the Toll Way for much of our travel, we spent over $50.00 in tolls.  I really enjoyed this trip but was also glad to get home again with no more toll way!!!  :)

Great cards from yesterday's and today's posts, Vicki! And I loved seeing the pictures of your trip. Looks and sounds like a wonderful time. How fun you could share so much of it with friends.

Aren't these birds cute?  I've had the stamp set for a while and just hadn't inked it up.  The littlest bird was cut out and pop...
