SURPRISE!!!! THREE CARDS!!!

I had cards made for all week but just discovered that they hadn't gotten scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday or today.  Since I have some lined up already for next week, I'm going to let you see all of them today.

The first card was made with a die that I purchased recently.  It cuts on the three sides so that you can flip up the design and have a message underneath.  I had intended to use it for some Halloween cards and stamp BOO inside but that will have to wait for hopefully next year.

Wednesday's Card - Outisde

Wednesday's Card - Inside

Thursday's Card
I saw a similar card like this on Pintrest when I was needing some sympathy cards.  I used the Stampin' Up! set "Thoughts & Prayers".

Friday's Card
I used a Penny Black "Rose" die.  First I cut a rose from a piece of white card stock and mounted the negative of it over a piece of black card stock.  I then cut a second rose stem from green card stock and the bloom from red.  I used this card for some friend's anniversary.

Don't forget to change your clocks this weekend........FALL BACK...... and gain an extra hour of sleep!  Stay safe Halloweening!!!  I hope you enjoyed seeing all of these today,

ANNIVERSARY CARD

I used this Thinking of You card for my friend, Harriet.  She and her husband were celebrating their anniversary in September.  Inside I used an anniversary stamp (or maybe just wrote a message).

Thank you for stopping by today.

HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY!

A friend of mine from our Yahoo group had a birthday in September.  Although I did send the card before her birthday, I know it was probably late getting there.  The ice cream cone was made using a stamp set and papers from Stampin' Up!

I just saw the weather forecast for the end of the week and it is supposed to be chilly so I don't think ice cream cones will be sounding quite as good then.

Hope you had a great weekend.  Thank you for stopping by today!

TWO FINAL HALLOWEEN CARDS

The designer paper is from Stampin' Up! and the dies are from Impression Obsession.

I had a scrap of this dp  and the colored image left over form last year.

I managed to get 70 Halloween cards made.  I've never made this many for Halloween in the past.  I decided that maybe they would brighten the day for many who might be forgotten otherwise and let them know that there are people who care.  I'll send 6 to our grandchildren but the rest will go to people in various care centers.

My next big project is going to be working with the students of the religious education classes at our church making Thanksgiving cards.  I will make up kits and have pieces all cut.  They can do some minor stamping and assembling.  Those cards will also be for the care centers.  We will also do cards for Christmas and then we'll see about after that.  If the students don't do any further, then I will probably take on the project myself.

Next week I think it is time to move on from ghosts and witches.  I hope the ones i have posted have possibly given you some fun ideas of your own.  Thanks for stopping by!

BLACK BIRDS ON A WIRE

Not necessarily a card for Halloween but the colors seemed to be good for the season.  The die is from Penny Black.

I used the Spider Web doiley from SU, the Martha Stewart fence punch, Memory Box tree and Impression Obsession ghost.

BACK TO HALLOWEEN

I used this card for the October "Artist's Choice" card swap in our Yahoo Group.  The little kitty in the pumpkin is from a Penny Black stamp which I colored with Copic markers and trimmed.  (Hint:  When cutting something very narrow like the whiskers, I put tape behind that portion of the image to keep it from tearing.)

The yellow and green papers are from Stampin' Up and the dp is probably something I picked up at Michael's years ago.

I will be scheduling Halloween cards today to appear through October 23 (except for the weekends).  If time doesn't permit any descriptions under the picture, please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

I'd love to read comments from you about any and all of my cards.  Thank you for stopping by!

CASING MICHELLE ZINDORF

We needed a masculine birthday card for someone who was turning 85 last Thursday. Masculine cards are always difficult for me...........so Pinterest was my source of inspiration once again.  I ran across a card that had been cased from one that Michelle Zindorf had made.  The technique they used was "direct to paper" using the ink pads.  I did not have good success doing it that way.  By sponging the colors on instead I was much happier with the results that I got.

You can see Michelle Zindorf's card here:  Serene Silhouette – Tutorial #542 |

Instead of the silhouette image that they used, I pulled out one of the stamps from Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree.    I also drew some little birds into the "sky" and added some random dashes with a white gel pen to the "water".

This is a design I believe I will use again. It was easy and I was very pleased with the results.  What do you think?  I'd love to hear from you.

HALLOWEEN - Dimensional Stickers

I purchased some of these stickers after last year's Halloween at half price.  When I got them out I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them until I found the scrap of dp with the stars.  It was going to work out great with the witch sticker, but I needed something for the rest of the scene.  I used Martha Stewart punches for the fence and grass.  I think one of the grandchildren will love this card.

I'll have more Halloween cards for you, but be sure to come back next Monday for a card that I made casing Michelle Zindorf.

Thank you for stopping by!

IT'S TIME FOR HALLOWEEN

It's hard to believe that it is October already.  The year is slipping by!!!  I have some fun new items to use for Halloween cards this year.  For this card I started off with a white piece and brayered it with SU Pumpkin Pie ink.  I have several dies with buildings and I think this one is the one from Penny Black.  I added small pieces of yellow card stock behind the windows and die cut a yellow circle for the moon.  Then the two bats and witch were added to finish the scene.  The scene was added to a black mat and then onto the white card base.

Thanks for coming by!

This is the  video  I used to make this card using more retired dsp. After I finished, I was a little dissatisfied with the white background...
