MAKING THIS ONE INTO A FANCY FOLD

Outside

Showing the fold

OK.....I'll stop with this paper now even though I have more of it.  Tomorrow come back again and see a change of paper.

Very simple use of a 3" x 4" piece of dsp, matted and added to the card base.  I had an odd shaped piece of the dsp so I fussy cut out the little peach flower and the yellow daffodil.  I added them on top of the same designs on the 3" x 4" piece with dimensionals.

ADDING SOME RIBBON AND A METAL BUTTERFLY

Since this card was made several weeks ago, I don't remember for sure, but I believe I saw one like this on Pinterest.  I get many of my ideas and CASES from Pinterest.  Because I was trying to get a lot of the sheets from this paper pack used up, Pinterest was a really big help!

FUN FOLD

The dsp is from the Stampin' Up! Daffodil Afternoon dsp pack.  I saw some cards using this fold and have used it before but usually along the long edge of the paper.  (Hmmmm.....I see I didn't get the one fold quite straight.)

DAFFODIL AFTERNOON DSP - A different sheet

I really wanted to get this package of dsp used up!  Yes, these two cards are from that same paper pack that I have been showing, but this is a different sheet.   I'll have more cards through Friday with this paper but will then end the month on Saturday with a completely different dsp.

For this card, I used a "scrap" piece of the dsp and matted it with ivory card stock.  The card base is Flirty Flamingo.  I  randomly stamped some flowers on the lower portion with either Flirty Flamingo ink or VersaMark......I did this a few weeks ago and can't remember.

DAFFODIL GATE FOLD "Thank You"

This is another one of the "thank you" cards I made for our daughter to choose from.  It was another way to use more of this beautiful SU Daffodil Afternoon designer series paper.

SENDING HUGS and using a card part

Recently I did try to use a few of my card parts.  This stamped and matted flower has been on my table for a long time so I decided to use it to brighten up someone's day.  I may have mentioned previously that I am sending a card every week to a high school classmate who is going through chemo.  I think this is one of the cards I'll be sending her.

JUST A NOTE

Stampin' Up! has a set of four dies that are very similar to this type of design.  After seeing cards made with their dies, I remembered the dies I already have and made a couple of cards using two of them.  I'm not as happy with the other two so I'm only posting this one.  I like the simplicity of the design and how it reinforces the "just a note"  idea.

STAMPIN' UP! - Falling in Love DSP

I knew I wanted to make some religious Easter cards for past and present priests.  I cut 6 of this really pretty cross design from white but then wasn't really thrilled with them.  I thought they looked a little "cheap" for some reason.  I then turned to some ivory card stock to give the design a more elegant look.

When cutting this design you get the pretty outline and a separate cross.  It took a while to find just the right paper to use as a background.  I wanted a subtle design and finally found a sheet of the SU Falling In Love dsp which had not been used.  Tiny dots of Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue were added to the outline and added to the dsp.  I added dimensionals to the back of the cross to raise it up.  I really like this card.

Thank you for coming by today!  Can you believe tomorrow is April 1st???

EASTER TREAT BOXES

Last Sunday I decided to take a break from cards.  Tomorrow one of our daughters and her two daughters are going to spend Easter Sunday with us.  Our other daughter's family will be with her in-laws.  I thought it would be fun to make some treat boxes since it was just going to be the five of us.  I watched a video from Stamping With Amore and decided it looked really easy.  In fact, it should have been but these are my 4th, 5th and 6th tries.  lol

The first time I messed up on the punched window, the second try I messed up on gluing and couldn't fix the mess and the third try, I discovered there was a cut in the fold of the paper (probably scored to hard and it cut through).

The middle yellow one in the picture has the window a little off center but I was running out of the paper so had to make it work.  The other two turned out just fine.  Instead of any glue, I used Scor-Tape on all three of these.

In the video she left the window open because she was adding some little foil wrapped eggs.  The only thing I had here that would work was M&M's so I added a piece of acetate behind the window using score tape.

Happy Easter to all who celebrate the special holiday.  Thank you for coming by today!

MORE DAFFODILS

I believe when I started posting the cards I made with these papers and stamps/dies, I said that I hoped you wouldn't get tired of seeing them.  The paper was available for FREE with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration.  I had a couple of $50 orders so I had two packs and wanted to get one of them used up.....so that explains all of these cards.

STAMPIN' UP! - Daffodil Afternoon & Daffodil Dream

I am pretty sure this card was also a CASE of one I saw on the same video that I referred to yesterday.  I really like the way this one turned out.  Below shows how I stamped and colored the image inside.

EASTER BLESSINGS - Card and Envelope

This card is pretty much a CASE of one I saw in a video.  I'm sorry I didn't make a note of whose video that was.  These dies are so much fun to work with.  Below is the coordinating envelope that I made for the card.

STAMPIN' UP! - Eden's Garden Bundle

The papers from this dsp pack are just beautiful!  It is hard to see in the picture, but I randomly stamped a design on the solid green piece.  Two sprigs were used behind the stamped image.  I love these stamps that they are making now that can be inked one time and still give the variation of color when applied to the card stock.

TWO EASTER CARDS

The card above and below are samples of the cards that my friends and I made for the independent living center and two nursing homes.  The one above was made using stamps from a Lawn Fawn set that I have used multiple times.

This card was made using a bunny from Stampin' Up! Springtime Joy stamp set.  Thank you for coming by today!

STAMPIN' UP! - Simply Elegant DSP & Elegantly Said Stamp Set

Connie Stewart had a video on August 5, 2022 showing some fun cards using circles cut from dies.  One of the ones she made was very similar to this.  I had the paper so had to give it a try.  The flowers beside "Happy Anniversary" were fussy cut from a piece of the paper.  A second card below was made using the other half of the dsp and a different flower which was also fussy cut.

TWO CARDS FROM 2 PCS OF DSP

These two pieces are from the Stampin' UP! Daffodil Afternoon designer series paper pack.  I'll have to admit the darker piece was not my favorite when I pulled out the entire 12 x 12 sheet.  Then I saw a card made like this on the blog of Wanda Pettijohn for February 17, 2022.  I decided I liked the paper after all.  Since it involves cutting both  4" x 5 1/4" pieces at an angle, I had enough to make two cards.  You can see the second one below.

On the first card, I colored the flower from Color Contour stamp set with a blender that was a little more pink.  For the second card I used Petal Pink.

CASING STAMPIN UP DIE

I'm not sure who makes the little die but it is very similar to a set that Stampin' Up! has.  I had been seeing some cards made with the SU dies and decided the ones I have could be used the same way.  This was my first card using one of them.

FINAL TWO EASTER CARDS

After getting 28 Easter cards ready to send, I'm ready to move on to something new.  These two cards were made previously but just needed to have sentiments added.  (Since I am actually preparing this post already on March 15th through April 1st, I'll have to see what I can come up with to post next.)

Thank you for coming by!
