HAPPY 55TH ANNIVERSAY

I could have made a special "55th" anniversary card, but I really liked this one so I decided to use this one for my Sister and her husband.  They were married one year before me.  So glad that both of us have been able to celebrate so many years with our respective spouses.

Thank you for coming by today!  My next post will be in August!

4 CARDS USING GRAPHIC 45 DSP

Before I started buying all of the beautiful designer papers from Stampin' Up!, I bought a lot of 6 x 6 pads from various companies.  The beautiful paper on these 4 cards is from a Graphic 45 pack.  I only used two sheets from the pad and was fortunate that someone on eBay was willing to purchase the remainder of the sheets in the pad.  All of the cardstock used for matting and card bases is from SU.

Take peek at the other three cards below.................

STAMPIN' UP - BOHO MEDLEY

Blue has always been my favorite color.  Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight are my two favorite blues from Stampin' Up!.  I absolutely love this bundle.........which is retired.  I have a lot of this paper left because when they discontinued it I was able to get the refills for a really good deal.  Now I just have to use it!

ANOTHER CASE - Nature's Harvest

I made this card a couple of weeks ago and now I'm not sure if I used an old Hero Arts shadow stamp or inked up an acrylic block to "stamp" the Crumb Cake background.  The dies are from the  Nature's Harvest stamp and die set.  I changed the colors slightly for the two strips behind the flowers.  I used tiny dimensionals to add the flowers.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY - Whimsy & Wonder dsp

I bought this paper last Fall but hadn't used any of it yet.  When I saw someone talk about Christmas being only 5 months away it reminded me that sometimes I hear about "Christmas in July".....so this card was inspired.  Well, it was inspired by one that I saw on Pinterest when I went hunting there for ideas.  I love the pastel colors of the paper and the poinsettia.  I also love how the die leaves an impression on the petals and leaves.

BEST WISHES

Today's card is using another piece from the dsp that I used yesterday.  I was so pleased with this card until I stamped the sentiment and realized it wasn't straight!  Sometimes I am able to add a punched piece over it but I didn't think that was going to look good either.  SO.............it is what it is.

THINKING OF YOU

This strip of designer paper isn't from Stampin' Up! but it does go very nicely with the SU Blushing Bride card stock.  I added the white strips and then the Mossy Meadow strips to each side of the dsp.

I prefer not to actually emboss the front of a card base (although I have done it sometimes), so I embossed a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of the Blushing Bride card stock and added it to the card base before adding the dsp strip.  I used Spellbinders dies to cut the two ovals.  I did stamp the sentiment before cutting it out because it is much easier to get it centered.

DAISIES, DAISIES, DAISIES

I am continuing my efforts to use up the older dsp that I have.  I loved the paper from this dsp package.  I haven't used up all of the papers from the package, but I'm working on it.

RETIRED FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON DSP

I made a card a couple weeks ago using this die and then later saw a video from Rita Holmes.  I liked the way she kept the white die cut piece for the middle to add a sentiment.  My die is smaller than the Stampin' Up! version so I matted the white layer with some dsp and then added it to the white card base.

RETIRED BOTANICAL BUTTERFLY DSP - 2 cards

This was my favorite design from the Botanical Butterfly dsp pack and now it is gone!  I finally used up those two sheets.  However, I still have other papers from that package.

I'm not particularly fond of one side of the papers I have left but thankful that the reverse sides are all black and white designs.  I think I will be able to safely use all of them on cards.

STAMPIN' UP! "Just Peachy" dsp

You can see the card I CASED HERE.  I sent this one to my friend Joyce who celebrated her birthday yesterday.  Thank you for stopping by!

DOUBLE PANEL BRIDGE CARD (or Spanner card)

You can see a video from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts to see how this card is made.  I've made similar cards before and they make a fun card for the recipient that is a different style than the normal A2 card.

Even though this card uses Blissful Blue the papers are actually from the Stampin' Up! "Just Peachy" stamps and dsp.

SQUEEZING IN ANOTHER "Floral Boutique" card

I mentioned a few days ago how I had made a bunch of cards weeks ago while trying to use up this beautiful paper.  This one uses just one strip of Washi tape above the dotted dsp.

2 CARDS - PAPER INSPIRATIONS STAMPS

The cards were made with two stamps that I have had for years. When I was organizing my new craft space, I also went through a lot of stamps that I had not used for a very long time.  These stamps were two that I bought when I first got started and I always liked the Cone flower.  While I had them out I decided to make the Thinking of You and a Birthday card (shown below).

Now I have to decide whether I want to keep them or sell them.  Thank you for coming by today!

CASING RITA HOLMES

I watched a video from Rita Holmes where she made a card using a corner die similar to this that Stampin' Up! sells.  However, I have several of these from Memory Box and decided to make a card like hers but use what I already have.

The design was die cut from a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of black cardstock.  A piece of aqua glimmer paper was placed behind the cut out area and then the entire piece was adhered to a black top fold card base.

I punched three of the daisies and stacked them together with glue under the center.  This allowed the space I needed to add the clusters of leaves.

TEARING A WINDOW

I watched two videos using this method.  One video showed the tear coming in from the left margin.  Then when the opening was finished, a small portion of the torn piece was trimmed off and then the rest rolled up and glued down.  The second one I watched had just an opening in the center of the card.  I like this technique.  If I do it again, I think I'll make the opening just a little larger.  This card has quite a large area of white.  I could add a sentiment in the upper left corner when I'm ready to use it.

2 NEW HORIZON CARDS

I haven't posted cards using the New Horizon dsp for a few days so here are two more.  For this first one I was going to just add the little "grove of trees" in black.  I wasn't satisfied.  Then I tried a die cut in the green card stock.  I wasn't satisfied.  So I off set the black die cut on top of the green and liked the look.

For this one I used a stamp for different trees and stamped them twice.  The deer is a die cut.  Thank you for coming by today.

NATURE'S HARVEST in Blue

I wish I remember whose video I watched when I made this card.  If I remember correctly it was done in black and white but I decided to change it up to navy and white.

STAMPIN' UP! - Hexagon Punch & DSP

This was a fun card to make using the hexagon punch and designer series paper.  I followed the layout I had seen watching a video.  I don't do "random" very well so I just followed the same pattern she had used.  I did use a different die cut and ribbon on the front.

The pieces were all added to a piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock.  I then used my scissors to trim the right side along the dsp.  That was then added to the white card base.

THE "LET'S SET SALE" stamps and dies

With today being the 4th of July, I thought this might be a fun card to post.  No doubt there are people enjoying a relaxing day on the water with their boats.

I saw a card like this after I got my stamps and dies.  The circle was masked and then I used blenders to ink up the open area.  (The card I CASED used similar color but I couldn't figure out how hers was done.)  The birds were stamped in black. This 4" x 5 1/4" piece was then added to the card base with dimensionals.

I really liked the idea of just cutting the sailboat in white.  Before adding the die cut pieces, I decided where the boat would be placed and stamped the little orange & yellow piece.  I added the boat and sails with tiny dimensionals.

I made a coordinating envelope for the card.

STAMPIN' UP! - 2 Cards w/Daffodil Afternoon dsp

Two desperate moves to use up more of all of this dsp that I had.  A few scraps left from the first package that I received free for SU orders during the Sale-A-Bration at that time.  I think most of the other two packages will be used for cards going to the nursing homes next Spring.

Can you believe half of 2022 is gone?  Many of you may be traveling with the 4th of July Weekend so please have fun but stay safe!!!

These are two cards I made using the second format from Robin Armbrecht's video.  (You can see a link in yesterday's post.)  I li...
