This isn't a two-step design and I wasn't sure how I was going to add the color because I hadn't really watched the process she used. (You know how it.....I "thought" I knew.) I did use my MISTI and colored the flower with an SU marker. Then I masked the flower and inked up the leaf portion with an ink pad. There is a small gap between the flower and the rest of the design because of the mask I used. I decided to just go with it! If you actually watch her go through the procedure you will see how to do it in a better way.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7Z6mXROVsRNBIh6G-UdqVZiU5UB6proyZjZ3pxiA9Hnx8FgxlHG-GlWnS5iq9sVPYVp6lDI-qMUrG1uzrW74iKdQv2t3-RSSC7jXLehpWjeVAzWuqfR2ldSsjjO2XrIkbERaZmIXcw5XYc1R7GDkfJSFz1STjGNkb-S4xI7aKQScgps4sMXAvhPDmD6JD/s4210/03-18%20%232.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4210" data-original-width="3224" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7Z6mXROVsRNBIh6G-UdqVZiU5UB6proyZjZ3pxiA9Hnx8FgxlHG-GlWnS5iq9sVPYVp6lDI-qMUrG1uzrW74iKdQv2t3-RSSC7jXLehpWjeVAzWuqfR2ldSsjjO2XrIkbERaZmIXcw5XYc1R7GDkfJSFz1STjGNkb-S4xI7aKQScgps4sMXAvhPDmD6JD/w306-h400/03-18%20%232.JPG" width="306" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Inside the card I found a really tiny smudge from my finger and used one of the little metal butterflies to cover it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Thank you for coming by today!</div><br /> <p></p>Heartwarmers from Vickihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06632900669805124137noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3348161004739763945.post-28588065395984442762024-03-17T01:00:00.001-05:002024-03-17T01:00:00.299-05:00<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyqnsj4_Yyv3ganVHACM0hoU6BlW_cXYbsCUFFKnsNHwIR4Io1hEgmSgIysnEfw9HCohVj-jrYWQR2pjidbNOP0uzu_t-2GilkrqV4DvPcAZymxJPlemripw1RvCN3dBF6Rex1OZNs1xbjsK4lLIeleuPEyob55EIqjew24KLptkAmU6imOyxL6XAmwgyy/s2333/03-17.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2333" data-original-width="1794" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyqnsj4_Yyv3ganVHACM0hoU6BlW_cXYbsCUFFKnsNHwIR4Io1hEgmSgIysnEfw9HCohVj-jrYWQR2pjidbNOP0uzu_t-2GilkrqV4DvPcAZymxJPlemripw1RvCN3dBF6Rex1OZNs1xbjsK4lLIeleuPEyob55EIqjew24KLptkAmU6imOyxL6XAmwgyy/w308-h400/03-17.JPG" width="308" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">I pulled out the long retired stamp set "Awash with Flowers". I stamped it off when a group of us were meeting in Des Moines but I never did anything with it until a few days ago. Last Saturday we were going to the final volleyball tournament that our granddaughter, Taryn, was going to play in. The image looks nothing like her because Taryn is very slim and other than the colors used, the uniform is completely different. I just thought it was the perfect time to color it and make a card for her. She had also requested chocolate cookies when we had gone to the tournament the weekend before. She loved that I even used "pink" like her actual shoes. Oh, and they won this tournament too! They lost the first one and then won the next four weekends. They have a really good team!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">I've missed posting cards for a few days. Although all of the Easter cards were ready for the care centers, I still had over 20 to make for the ones we mail and 6 for our grandkids. Holiday cards are now finished and I'm ready to move on to something else, but over the next few days you will be seeing the Easter cards that I have made for others.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Thank you for stopping by!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /> </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /> <p></p>Heartwarmers from Vickihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06632900669805124137noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3348161004739763945.post-80783822663601409802024-02-29T01:00:00.001-06:002024-02-29T01:00:00.191-06:00FLOWING FLOWERS STAMPS/FLIGHT & AIRY DSP<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp05auqW-MArQS8jdF-Lrn1KZ84XZGI5jq-6-VcQ6oaRYDctEh4OX-6bJUjeja6atnghAO0A5yI69Jt3EkcWEuprz85c7IiuphEXQAmB0sVljAne05bQF-jzTknU7121O23zg6H4r8_fpijI0Xa2lddXlIMYhyBHlsKHdV2FJllAuhp0Cspfme-fI95qcq/s3621/02-29.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2803" data-original-width="3621" height="310" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp05auqW-MArQS8jdF-Lrn1KZ84XZGI5jq-6-VcQ6oaRYDctEh4OX-6bJUjeja6atnghAO0A5yI69Jt3EkcWEuprz85c7IiuphEXQAmB0sVljAne05bQF-jzTknU7121O23zg6H4r8_fpijI0Xa2lddXlIMYhyBHlsKHdV2FJllAuhp0Cspfme-fI95qcq/w400-h310/02-29.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">I saw a card <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTFhNNzPxEE&t=787s">here</a> like this. I forgot to take a picture before cutting this apart. The "quilting" with an embossing folder naturally would be made after cutting the piece into four 4" x 4" squares. After embossing the individual pieces, I put them back together fr the picture. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of this design. It's a lot of pieces but was fun. I chose my designs from a paper pad that I have had for many years. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihvft-qNGoz6YGlLNd1nFTRZdDNdUZ2vaQ_H-pC6yoODVWuDWYCiIPlRFoapn4K4AtuZDUerSj_JNjCNJSNxOx8koRWu8zCnW9Dbqh0qVG8jD3NTzphdFt3KdDG9FoNfMhLOWjIdorAKR2OChyphenhyphenoYdOOIr3lIMOcNYXS5lLWLcMCufiC33-I8KPW_unXJZM/s2579/02-28%20%232.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2534" data-original-width="2579" height="393" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihvft-qNGoz6YGlLNd1nFTRZdDNdUZ2vaQ_H-pC6yoODVWuDWYCiIPlRFoapn4K4AtuZDUerSj_JNjCNJSNxOx8koRWu8zCnW9Dbqh0qVG8jD3NTzphdFt3KdDG9FoNfMhLOWjIdorAKR2OChyphenhyphenoYdOOIr3lIMOcNYXS5lLWLcMCufiC33-I8KPW_unXJZM/w400-h393/02-28%20%232.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Below are the individual cards that I made.
