BIRTHDAY

A few days ago I posted a card made with this SU stamp set. While it was out I decided to try something different. I had seen a card with the scored lines diagonally and thought I would stamp some small sentiments between the lines. To make sure I had them placed properly, I did use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp the sentiments. This SU set is definitely a favorite of mine and I know I'll use it a lot.

FIRST COMMUNION

I have two granddaughters making their First Communion this month. This is a card I am making for both of them from one of the Great Grandmothers. I used the Spellbinders Labels 4 for the first time. The cross is heat embossed with Egyptian Gold embossing powder.

QUICK AND EASY

One of the easiest card to make when you need a card in a hurry is a card similar to this. I chose Black and Off White. The card is made with a paper from Lasting Impressions. I stamped the Inkadinkado design on Snickerdoodle paper also from Lasting Impressions. The circles were punched with my Marvy Punches. The strip of sheer ribbon was adhered to the card and then the layers popped on the front. This one could be used for various occasions so leave the sentiment inside blank until you need it..........like for a birthday such as "A little birdie told me".

Another similar card using a butterfly image from Inkadinkado. This could have a message such as "Just fluttering by....."

"Y" is for YELLOW

This is a very simple card I made for a Yahoo Group Alphabet Swap. When I made this card I was so tired of Winter and needed something that made me feel more like Spring. All of the materials were from Lasting Impressions. It makes a quick and easy card for birthday, get well, thinking of you..... Flowers were dry embossed, but out and adhered to the card. It may be hard to see but there is a punched scalloped edge that I added using a Martha Stewart punch.

Comments on my cards are always welcome.

SYMPATHY

My mother needed to send a Sympathy Card so I made this one using a set from Stampin Up. I love the way these new sets no longer have to be cut out but are perforated to punch out! This doesn't need a lot of explanation. The card is made with Snickerdoodle Paper from Lasting Impressions and the pink layer is SU as are the inks that were used on the card. The front of the card was run through the Cuttlebug first one one of my favorite folders.

HAPPY EASTER

Since Easter Sunday is less than a week away, I wanted to share some of the cards I made for our grandchildren. I haven't been doing enough embossing the last few months so I pulled out my trusty Lasting Impressions idea books and made this card. (All of the papers on the first three cards are from Lasting Impressions.) I also did it in a vertical shape....

This is another card I made for a granddaughter using an idea from Lasting Impressions:
And the fourth card I made is using a stamp off that a friend, Nancy, sent me. I'm not real good at choose colors for a card with this much design on it but I was pretty pleased how this one turned out. This is for our youngest granddaughter because there are no embellishments for her to pull off and try to eat. :)

These are all pretty "girly" looking so I still need to come up with one for our one and only grandson. :) He won't get left out.

Hope you enjoy seeing these cards and come visit my page again.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, DAWN!

It's not quite "Dawn's" anniversary but I have sent the card and I'm sure she has received it by now. One of my favorite stamps to work with is thePenny Black Cone Flower called "Blush" (Item 2666K). For this card I simply inked up the stamp and stamped it three or four times to get the variation of shade. It makes a fairly quick card and since I was ready for Spring and needed some flowers I thought this would make a "happy" card for their anniversary.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEORGIA!

I needed a birthday card for a friend. This is a card I made which is a case of one I saw on a blog that I follow. Papers are similar and the layout is similar. The off white scalloped piece was done with a Spellbinders Scalloped Paisley die. The rose was done with a clear stamp set I have. The rose paper is double sided with the plain "rose" color on the back so I used it to layer the stamped rose. Best wishes was stamped with the same color as the rose and then cut with the Spellbinders double ended tags. I didn't have brads to match but just added matching tiny buttons where brads would go.

One of the cards made on  this  vi.deo used this stamp from the Flowing Flowers set.  This isn't a two-step design and I wasn't sure...
