STAMPIN' UP! - Retired "Trendy Trees" stamp set

I don't normally post on weekends, but yesterday I ran across a little plastic bag that had over a dozen pieces that had been stamped and just waiting to be put on cards.  I know I put these aside over a year ago!  I had prepared all of the pieces because I was going to try to sell the stamp set.  I think I had listed it on eBay but it found my way back into my stash when it didn't sell.

Today I made up 7 cards with some of the pieces.  The colors on the other pieces looked washed out so they actually got tossed.  Here are the 5 of the 7 cards that are now finished and ready to use. (Two were duplicates of what you will see here.)

STAMPIN' UP! - Fine Art Floral dsp

This card has been sent to my high school friend and her husband who are celebrating their anniversary tomorrow.

I love this paper.  There is also matching acetate paper that had the outlines of the design in gold.  The acetate is strategically placed on the designer paper with tiny pieces of adhesive placed on dark  portions of the flowers.  There will be more cards using papers from this package on future posts.

Thank you for coming by today!  Have a great Memorial Day Weekend........stay safe!

STAMPIN' UP! - Wetlands

I've had this stamp set for a long time and really haven't made good use of it.  I am in the process of slowly selling some of my Stampin' Up! sets.  Before I let this one go, I decided I need to play with it a bit.  I found a card on Pinterest like this and decided to CASE it.  It makes a great masculine card and I think I'll save this one for our son-in-law who has a June birthday.

A ROSE IN BLOOM

This pretty rose was on my table.  I had already colored it some time ago.  I used a stitched oval die to cut it out and then matted it with the dark green stitched oval.    The 4" x 5 1/4" white layer was embossed with a textured folder and then the pieces were assembled on a dark green card stock base.

PENNY BLACK - "Together"

This stamped image was in my card parts.  When I decided to take a break from posting on my blog, I decided to use a couple of pieces from my card parts.  This was one of them.  Tomorrow I will show another card made with a card part that has been on my table for too long.

Thank you for coming by today!

IT'S NOT JUNE 1, BUT I'M BACK

I have enough cards to post through the whole month of June already so I decided to share a few extras that I have instead of waiting a week.  Some days are going to have multiple cards so be sure to check back.  On June 1, I will be showing 5 cards that were done using papers from Stampin' Up! "Magnolia Lane" 12 x 12 package.  Stampin' Up! has been coming out with such beautiful designs so I have to start using up some of the ones that have been retired!

I saw this style of making a card on a video by one of the lady's blogs that I follow.  The idea was to used double sided paper and just flip two of the four pieces.  This piece of paper from the 6 x 6 Stampin' Up!  "Flowers for Every Season" package worked well for that.

It's good to be back!  I can't promise to have a post every week day because life does get busy at times, but I'll do my best.

THANK YOU STOPPING BY TODAY!

WATCH FOR JUNE 1

First of all:  Thank you to those of you who have been following my blog and contacting me after my post about needing to take a leave.  I appreciate your kind words!  I am preparing to start posting cards again June 1st.  I have been VERY BUSY making cards during this time.  Some days there are going to be multiples for you to check out.  There may be times that I will just post pictures without other information.  Just know that you are welcome to email me with any questions you might have.

I hope you will leave comments and suggestions about any of them.  THANK YOU!
