STORYBOOK FRIENDS

I don't often remember to watch Rita Holmes "Simple Saturday" videos but I happened to check it out yesterday.  I think I have made this fold before but it has been a long time so I decided to give it a try.

This is my second card.  You can see my first attempt below.  I have 18 drawers of papers in three rolling carts.  Sometimes I just pull out a random drawer and take the first paper that is on top.  That's how I chose the paper for this card.  The big bunny was already waiting to be used.  I fussy cut the little bunny with the radish and the cluster of flowers to create a little scene on the front.  There had been some little radishes next to the small bunny so I saved that piece and added it to the inside.

Rita had stamped things on the outside and inside which meant she added a piece of white to the back side of the card.  I didn't think I needed that.  When I had watched most of the video, I thought I knew what to do so I did pull out some Christmas paper to do a trial run.  I had mistakenly assumed that the inside square would be attached directly behind the front square.  I was wrong!  Below is the unfinished card.

Because I had added the inside square in the wrong place,   I added a strip of dsp to the left side.  The card will still get finished but I didn't have the Christmas stamps out yet.

Thank you for coming by today!
