CLOSING OUT SEPTEMBER

I do have a few more cards that I will be using for Thanksgiving but tomorrow, I'll give you a break.  It's using  a recent die but much more colorful.

Thank you for coming by today!

ECHO PARK

The Echo Park pad does have some solid color sheets so I used a Poppy Stamps die to cut this lovely Maple Leaf.  The card base is 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".  This lets the dsp on the inside show when it is closed.

ECHO PARK

I was pleased that so many of the Echo Park papers that I have used match up so well with the Stampin' Up! card stock.

The piece from Echo Park worked very well with Stampin' UP! Cherry Cobbler card stock.  The card stock was embossed with the Painted Texture folder.

Our youngest daughter turned 50 on September 12.  She told her daughters she didn't want anything special.  Her daughters took that as "I really want a surprise party!"  We took the family out to a steak house on her birthday.  Then last weekend there was nothing for her.  Tonight we are having a party for her two weeks late.  Hopefully she will be thinking that the steak house was her celebration and be surprised tonight.

INSPIRED BY RACHEL TESSMAN

This was my first attempt at making this angled cut.  The card uses a 12" x 5 1/2" piece of card stock for the base.  My white 12 x 12 is not as heavy as I would like but it works.  The papers used are from two different paper collections..........."Mediterranean Blooms" and "Wildly Flowering".  The lemon cluster on the front was fussy cut from a sheet.

While I had the papers out on my table, I decided to make a second one featuring the oranges.  The cluster of oranges were die cut from a sheet of that design.

ECHO PARK PAPER PAD

In the next couple of weeks, you will be seeing the card that I have made using papers from an Echo Park pad pad.  I will be using these fall cards for Thanksgiving designs and donating them to the care centers.  Echo Park also had a pad containing 16 sheets of stickers to use on the cards.

ECHO PARK DSP

Almost a "One Sheet Wonder".......My September 15 card used this paper and since it was still on my table, I wanted to use the rest of it so I just started cutting it up..  If there were any scraps left, they are gone now.  I tried to work it so that there was a bird on each of the pieces.  Only the second card doesn't have one.

NOTE: Actually posted on 9/22/26.

STORYBOOK FRIENDS

I have another early "Easter" card ready.  Actually I had those two die cut pieces left over from the card I posted September 15th.

Thank you for coming by!

NOTE:  I'm behind on my posts so this was actually posted on 9/22/26.)

ANOTHER SIMPLY ELEGANT

On September 3 I posted a card like this but didn't have anything new in my "blog folder" for today so I am using this one.  It is very much the same but the flowers are a little different and this one is a birthday card.  This also shows how I embellished the inside.

I have been working really hard on cards for care centers.  Halloween cards are done but I'm progressing on the Thanksgiving ones.  I need to take some pictures so I can show them here.

STAMPIN' UP! - Blackberry Beauty dsp

I watched a video from Susan Campfield and she had made cards like this using new SU products.  Since the "Blackberry Beauty" dsp with the beautiful papers gave a similar look, I didn't "have to buy" anything more to make these cards.

INSPIRED BY A FRIEND

I recently received a birthday card from a friend and she had used this die with beautiful dsp showing in the cut-out areas.  I just happened to have that die as well and loved her card.  I pulled out paper that was on my table and immediately made one with the same look but made mine a "Thank You" card.  I  have also made a second one which will probably be shown later.

Thank you, Kris, for the inspiration and the beautiful card!

CHEERS

This was a card I made for a special order.  A friend requested a card for her sister who enjoys wine.

MAY WE NEVER FORGET!

No doubt everyone remembers where they were when the news broke of this tragedy.  We have been to Shanksville 3 times and were grateful that we got to visit the 9/11 Memorial in New York City.

Feel free to share your story.

My friend, Debra, from Mississppi had this stamp.  She was so generous to allow me to purchase it from her since September 11 is my birthday, a day that will never be the same.

STORYBOOK MEMORIES DSP/STORYBOOK FRIENDS DIES

The card was cased from one I saw on Pinterest.  It is the quickest way for me to get more of these supplies used.

STORYBOOK MEMORIES

I fussy cut the bunny design from the designer series paper.  The fence is from the On The Horizon die set.

EASTER GREETINGS

OK!  I know we have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine Day before Easter but when I saw Tami White's card with this design, I had to make it.  The carrots and die for the "ground" are from the Storybook Garden Patch set.  There are slits in the ground for the carrots to be inserted.    I debated whether it looked like Easter without a bunny but for now this is it. See below for the inside of the card.

STAMPIN' UP! SIMPLY ELEGANT

This is such pretty paper to work with.  Very elegant!  The only thing I would change is the placement of the "For You"  I think it would have been better placed a little higher.

EMBOSSING FOLDER DESIGN

This embossing folder has been in my "collection" for a very long time.  It is from a Sizzix set that has this one and then three narrow dies to use as borders.  I had to trim this one down and once I did, I had a hard time deciding what color of card stock to use.  I chose a light blue card stock.  It's a very simple card but I think that it is a pretty design.

NOTE CARDS FOR A GARDENER

I saw a set of four square cards using the dsp and die cut vegetables.  I prefer not to send or make square cards so I made mine with the bookbinder layout.  I think these would make a fun gift to someone who really loves gardening.  The "vegetable" paper is from Storybook Moments dsp collection.  The vegetables are from the coordinating stamp and die set "Storybook Garden Patch".  The dsp on the binder portion of the card is from "Timeless Plaid".

After watching Rita Holmes video this past Tuesday, this is the card I made using her layout.  Her cards were very pretty using the Sunflower paper from Stampin' Up!  I am going to try very hard to not add that to my hoard.  There is a new set of dies with an Arch shape very much like this.  I simply used one of the dies from a set that has multiple sizes but only cut a portion of it.  Same look without having to buy another expensive set of dies.

SIMPLY ELEGANT DSP FROM STAMP' UP!

On Pinterest I saw a card by "Stampin With Shirley G" using this dsp.  I used the same layout and same papers for the card base.  But I fussy cut flowers from another sheet in that collection and made my own focal point.  The "Happy Aniversary" was made with Taylored Expressions stamp and die set.

FANCY FOLD

I'm sorry to say I didn't make a note as to where I saw this fold.  I thought I had seen it on YouTube but when I checked my "history" there, I didn't find it.  When closed, the "Happy Birthday" piece covers the leaf.

Very easy to make.
