STAMPIN' UP! - All That You Are

It's almost 8:00 PM on Wednesday and I just realized I had forgotten to post something for yesterday.

A few days ago I posted two cards that I made using this stamp and mentioned that I had colored this third one but that I had gotten some of the "red" outside the line.  Over several days I worked with it.  Can you find where I "pushed" the red back into the borders?

I'm so glad that I was able to save this one because I love the bold red and green.

STAMPIN' UP! - Breathtaking Bouquet

I saw a card made with this stamp and it was done with Gold on Black card stock.  I loved their card but a little disappointed in my own.  The card I saw must have used a super fine embossing powder. because the lines were very detailed.  Mine turned out to be a lot thicker.  It is a little prettier in person but still not as nice as the one I saw.  I may use this card for someone celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

I stamped and embossed the top of the cake in the "Happy Birthday to You" set and then fussy cut the cluster of two flowers.  I added it to the card with two foam pads.  Three sprigs from a Tim Holtz set were cut from gold glitter paper and tucked in under the piece that was popped.

Does anyone have any suggestions about gold embossing powder that leaves a really fine, detailed image?

6 SIMPLE NOTE CARDS

I don't remember where I got the lavender and pink note cards but I've had them for a very long time and they were always "staring at me" in a card parts box on my table.  They came with colored envelopes.  It was time to use them so I simply added some white die cuts. I think all of the designs are from Memory Box.  A sentiment was added to the front of each.

You will note that some of the note cards were cut in half, trimmed down to fit on an A2 card front.  I did that because some of the note cards had faded edges on the back.

I still have 4 more pink ones to make up and then that will be the last of them.  These will all be donated and I will no longer have to look at them.

STAMPIN' UP! - All That You Are - 2 cards

This is such a great image to color. I used SU Blenders to color the images on the card above and the one below.  I colored a third one using Real Red and Shaded Spruce.  I really like it, but got a little red outside of the line and to me it ruined it.  Using a Copic Colorless Blender I tried "pushing" the red back and it did pretty good but it left an area that looked smudged. I'm going to continue working with it.  If it doesn't work, then I'm definitely going to make another one because it really makes a bold statement.

FINAL MOSAIC MADNESS #7 - For Christmas

This was a fun card to make so I made three of them.  Naturally, this idea definitely came from one I saw on Pinterest.  The one I saw used a red star, but I much preferred a gold glitter one.

Since my Christmas sentiment stamps are all put away until late this fall, I won't add a sentiment under the tree until I get them out.  I think just a small "Merry Christmas" will do just fine.

Thank you for checking out all of these cards.  They were a lot of fun but now the stamp set, punch and embossing folder are all for sale on eBay.

STAMPIN' UP! - Mosaic Madness #6

This is another of my favorites that I made using this set.  It may not show up very well, but I used some little shiny metal "Dot Sparklers" in the center of each of the stamped images.  I was thinking about making this one in different colors as well, but I really love it in black and white!

STAMPIN' UP! - Mosaic Madness #5

For this card I changed the orientation to horizontal.  Thank you for coming by today.  I still have two more cards to reveal, so come back again next Monday and Tusesday to see those.

Most of the cards I have made using this stamp set will eventually be going to the Iowa Veterans Home for veterans to send to their loved ones.

STAMPIN' UP! - Mosaic Madness #4

This is one of my favorites that I made. The layer with the designs measures 3 3/4" x 5".  I carefully punched out three areas on that white card stock and added the black and white dp behind the openings. The designs on top were stamped, punched out and then added with foam dots.  The sentiment is from the SU "Happy Birthday to You" stamp set.

STAMPIN' UP! - Mosaic Madness #3

For this card, I used Midnight Muse Ink but I made the same card using Shaded Spruce, Raspberry Ripple and Cherry Cobbler.

STAMPIN' UP! - Mosaic Madness #2

Using the same colors as I used on yesterday's cards, put this card together using only a strip of the embossed design.  Using an additional punch, I made the butterflies from the coordinating designer paper.

STAMPIN' UP! - Retired Mosaic Madness

The end of May I pulled out a beautiful stamp that I was ready to part with, made some quick cards which I posted and listed it for sale.  It sold almost immediately.  I was determined a few days ago to pull out another stamp set that I hadn't used in a long time, make some cards with it and then sell it.

This is a really neat set.  It consists of the stamp set, embossing folder and a punch which all coordinate.

This is the first of the cards you will be seeing this week using the Stampin' Up! retired Mosaic Madness.  Since I wanted to make some cards quickly, I depended on Pinterest for the inspiration on most of these cards.

THINKING OF YOU THIS SEASON

I made this card a few weeks ago but I'm pretty sure it was CASED from one I saw on Pinterest.  My friend, Lynette, makes a lot of Christmas/Holiday cards all year long.  This year I have quite a few made up ahead of time.  When I took that all-day class in May, I made two cards with a holiday theme which really got myself started.  I may not have to make many more when it's time to use them.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

This card is a CASE of one I saw on Pinterest.  The designer paper is "All is Calm" from Stampin' Up!. I stamped two of the trees using the SU "Festival of Trees" stamp set and then punched them out with the coordinating punch.  I punched a third tree from white card stock and sponged it with Pool Party ink.

I think it needs something added to the left portion of the card but not sure what.  I might try adding a die cut snowflake or attempting to tie a bow with the same ribbon that I used.  I am not always successful with getting pretty bows from some ribbons.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS (A little early)

I had cards earmarked to add to my blog for several weeks, but just marking them to post doesn't get them here.  The trouble with actually scheduling them ahead of time, I then forget to pick up and schedule more.  I forgot to get cards for Monday and Tuesday but will save those for later.

Several weeks ago I posted some cards using this designer paper from Stampin' Up!.  I still had some of it close at hand, so I decided to make one more card with and used the strips.  By adding two punched trees, and a sentiment I have a card ready for December.

The strips are adhered to a piece of white card stock and then glued to a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white card stock. The trees were added.  Before adding that to the card base, I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts.

SIMON SAYS CROCUS DIE

This is a set of two dies.  I love how they can be used separately or together on one card.  Such a pretty design.  I cut them with white card stock first and then cut respective areas with colored card stock.  There were a couple tiny pieces that were a little difficult to add back into the correct area.

ALCOHOL BACKGROUNDS

Recently my friend, Harriet posted a card using this die.  Since I also have one and already had some alcohol pieces ready to go, I made these two cards.  The background in the one above was made rubbing some gold foil paper over the alcohol ink just before it was dry. It really adds a nice touch.

I think this background was made by one of our granddaughters.  I love the "movement" of the way it is swished around.

3 GRADUATION CARDS

Our community like most others are not holding high school graduation ceremonies due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  I am so sorry that the students and their family members are not getting to experience the important milestone in their lives.  Our small town had a parade of golf carts and cars around for each of the graduates here in town.  We hope that helped them know that we are very proud of them.

The are cards I made for a lady who wanted cards for graduates from three different schools.  I like to make them in the school colors if at all possible.

From the pattern on  this  video you will get two cards with this layout.  These are mine. Thank you for coming by today!
