More "Beauty of the Earth" dsp. I embossed the white strip with one of the folders from "Wintry 3D" pack.  I love the large butterfly added as a focal point.

See what two pieces of scraps can do.  These papers are just too special to throw any of it away.  I matted each piece.  The left piece was added to the ivory embossed card stock.  The slightly smaller matted piece was added with dimensionals.  Three punched leaves were added to finish off the card.

This is more of the "All About Autumn" dsp from Stampin' UP!.  I embossed the ivory layer of card stock before adding the matted dsp and the die cut leaves from metallic paper.

The papers I used are from Stampin' Up "All About Autumn" collection of 6 x 6 papers.  The paper is retired but I am so glad I bought two packages of it.  These pieces are from what I call "Side B". I used SU 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon for the band across the card.  Leaves were die cut from some of the metallic papers.

This is a design for cards I made to give one of the care centers.  I had enough scraps to cut strips of the plaid paper.  Cajun Craze card stock was embossed with a leaf folder.  The sentiment stamp is an old retired wood mounted stamp.

I had leftover 4" x 12" pieces of this dsp that hadn't gotten used on a previous project.  Since they weren't wide enough to go edge to edge on the card base, I added them to a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" piece of vanilla card stock.  But before adding the dsp I did do the stamping on each.  The pieces were added to the vanilla card base and a sentiment stamped inside.

The border was from the "Borders to Backgrounds" from Stampin' UP!. The sentiment is also from a retired SU set "Painted Pheasant".  I can't remember what die set was used for the pumpkin.  It was an easy card to make so I made 50 of these.

As soon as I was finished with the Halloween cards, I started in on the Thanksgiving designs.  I made cards using this idea 9 years ago and still had some of those dimensional stickers so I made 40 more cards like this for one of the care centers.

NEVER FORGET

I keep this stamp on my table at all times.

This card was made after watching a video from Rita Holmes a few weeks ago.  You can watch her video HERE to get the measurements.  I used pieces from a paper pad to embellish my card,

Below are six pictures of a variety of cards that I made for one of the care centers.  Instead of the cards being signed by the staff and given to the residents, the card are given to the residents for their own personal use........to given to family or friends.  The staff is given 50 cards for each holiday to distribute for the use of the residents.  This is about half of them.  Tomorrow you will see the other half.

Recently I made the decision to get busy early on the holiday cards for care centers.  About a week ago I finished the Halloween cards and have actually made great headway on the Thanksgiving ones.  It feels really good to be ahead of the game.  I hope to have Christmas ones finished by the end of September.  By then I am going to be so excited to get back to using more all occasion dsp!

This was a VERY easy card.  I have a computer program from Lasting Impressions.  The program coordinates with brass stencils, but can be used to just print off designs. I was able to resize the designs and print off several strips on each piece of 8 1/2 x 11 white card stock.   I cut the strips apart and mounted them on black card stock.  Before adding them to the card base, I was able to determine where I could use the program to print the "Trick of Treat" on the card front and then a sentiment on the inside as well.  I made enough of these for two of the care centers.

This Halloween card was inspired by one I received from a friend last year.  The border was done with a Martha Stewart punch that I bought several years ago and hadn't ever used.

THREE VERSIONS FROM THE SAME DIE

Using a second die purchased from Amazon, I made Christmas cards. For this one I didn't try using a variety of papers.  The white piece in the center was stamped and popped with dimensionals.

This card uses the card stock colors in reverse.  When I had the card all assembled, I was so disappointed when I noticed a spot of ink in the upper corner of the sentiment piece!  Almost always I can find a way to fix a "boo boo".  The card did seem to be lacking color, so I used one of the Poinsettia dimensional stickers in my stash.  I think it is just what the card needed.

This third card was mostly an experiment.  The die cut was made with dsp scraps from the first card instead of card stock.  I hated to waste it but it took some time working on it from the back side getting the dsp pieces attached.  I pulled out my Scor-Tape and got everything put together.  Then I added the dsp to a piece of the Evening Evergreen card stock.  This one is not my favorite but I thought I would show it to you anyway.

A few weeks ago I purchased a couple of these dies from Amazon.  First I ran the die through my Cuttlebug twice using pieces of white card stock and then again with a piece of Highland Heather card stock.  The second run gave me the frames for inside each of the spaces.  I decided to use four different coordinating pieces of dsp to fill the spaces.  I cut each piece and then randomly placed the in the die cut spaces.  It took some time shuffling pieces around  but I got them fairly well distributed.  "Random" is hard for me.

The pieces were assembled on a piece of white card stock the same size as the finished design.  On the card in the upper left corner you can see that I then matted it before adding it to the card base.

When I saw this die, I knew I would make good use of it.  It is so pretty just die cut with white and added to a simple background.  There is a stamp set that goes with it but for now I only purchased the Charming Day dies from Stampin' Up!  The dsp is from the retired "Simply Marbleous" that I am trying to use up.

A few days ago, someone asked if I had any sympathy cards for the loss of a pet.  I didn't have anything on hand but started trying to figure out what I could make for her.  At one time I had a special stamp set for such an occasion but naturally I couldn't find it when I needed it.  I turned to Pinterest and found one that had a design like this. The one I saw used the heart upside down but had more of an oval shape for the four pieces.  All I had was the small circle punch.

The sentiment was done with my printer.  Naturally once I had the card assembled, I found the set I had been looking for so I stamped the four little paw prints on the inside.  The lady who requested the card loved it.
