STAMPIN' UP! - Pick a Petal #2

A few days ago I started pulling out some of older wood mounted Stampin' Up! sets.  This is one of the sets that I was considering selling at the time.  I went to Pinterest and found several cute ideas. I really like the way this one had the SU "grassy" area behind it. Although the stem and leaves are very similar to the one I saw on Pinterest, if I do another one, I definitely want a different stem and leaves that are more proportionate to the flower.

Recently I received a wonderful "Happy Spring" card from my Canadian friend, Annie!  She even enclosed stamp off's that were embossesd with gold powder.  I chose similar colors to color the two designs she sent me and then mounted them on coordinating colors of card stock.  Isn't this design cute?  Like Annie, I popped the bird houses with foam dots.

I showed you this card a few days ago but after taking the picture that I posted, I added the little butterfly.  I really like it much better now.

Easter Sunday we had perfect weather here.  The temperature was 70 degrees and just a light breeze.  I hope those of you who stop by here to visit had a wonderful day too!  Thanks for coming by today!

EASTER CARD #7

A few days ago I posted the picture of an Easter card with a cross on it that two friends and myself made for a nursing home.  This is the card we made for the staff  at an independent living center to give to the residents.  The stamp is SU "Blessed Easter". 

When we meet to make these cards, I have everything cut and ready to go.  Normally the mats I use for designs are a narrow color.  I really liked the boldness of the wide red frame on this one.  The tulips were colored with Copic markers.

After making 97 cards for the nursing home and independent living center as well as 26 other cards for Grandchildren and others, I'm ready to move on to some new designs.

EASTER CARD #5 & #6

These two cards will go to sisters.  The cute little bunny peeking over the edge is a Darcie's stamp.  I stamped and cut out the bunny's feet and popped them up with foam dots.  I matted the Darcie's "Happy Easter" with shiny gold.  Hearts were cut out with Spellbinders heart dies.  The little jelly beans and egg designs were stamped from a Lawn Fawn stamp set and cut with the coordinating die set.  All the coloring was done with Copic markers.

EASTER CARD #3 & 4

Several years ago I purchased these stickers in Des Moines when our group gathered and then kept hoarding them instead of using them.  These two cards will go to our two youngest Grandchildren.
