USING METALLIC MARKERS
One of our members has colored designs with these markers and brought them to Ankeny. I gave them a try. It's a little hard to see here but the design was colored with Spectra Noir Metallic markers. They color so smoothly and work beautifully on black or any dark card stock. In the past I hadn't thought I wanted them but............now I have two sets.
The Happy Birthday sentiment and design were stamped with VersaMark and embossed with Silver powder.

UNFINISHED CHRISTMAS CARD
I cut this pretty design when our group gathered this month. I don't know who makes the die. I mounted it on the red card stock and then onto the white card base. Red metal pieces were added to the center of each flower. All of my Christmas sentiments are put away for now but I will add something to the front before sending it to someone.

DESIGNER PAPER
All it takes is finding a pretty piece of designer paper, adding it to the front of a card and a simple sentiment.

STAMPIN' UP! - Embossing Folder
This embossing folder was available during the Sale-A-Bration as a free item with a $50.00 order. I missed it the first time I ordered but fortunately my friend, Kris, helped me out to get one.
I colored portions of it with very light Copic markers. I love this folder! The tag is from stamp and die sets I bought at Taylored Expressions when I was in Ankeny with our group gathering. I've already used it several time. I gave this card to one of our daughters and her husband who are celebrating an anniversary today.

FLORAL DIMENSIONAL STICKER
The white piece of card stock was cut with the scrolled border and then added to the Blushing Bride card base. I cut two ovals with Spellbinders dies, added the sticker ad then popped it on the card. Easy but pretty.

"W" FOLD CARD
I saw a video on YouTube for this card and just knew I had to make one. When I showed the card to the staff at Memory Bound, they liked it and said they would like to use it for one of their Technique Tuesday videos. They also are going to use the Cascading card for one of the videos. I was able to give them directions for both.
I had to change the measurements slightly for mine because the one I saw used a card base that measured 11 1/2" wide when open. My papers were all 11". I used the Gingham paper from Stampin' Up! and the butterflies are from SU designer paper.

SPOT LIGHT CARD
One of the things all of us did at our annual gathering was to make this card. It requires stamping the image two times, cutting out a portion of the second copy and then coloring that portion. It is then added to the first piece lining it up carefully with the black and white copy. This design makes a great masculine card.

MAKE N TAKE AT MEMORY BOUND
Our annual gathering was held this week. When we started meeting and staying over night we met at Archivers in Des Moines. When that store closed we moved our "play time" to a different store for a few years. When that store closed and the Sleep Inn where we had always stayed closed we were left with a decision to make. This year we met at Memory Bound Scrapbooking store in Ankeny IA and stayed at a Sleep Inn in Ankeny. I sure hope this store stays open!!!
On Wednesday, the store gave us the opportunity to "Make and Take" the above card. This was our 13th year to meet. We have had a great time together and formed some great friendships.

SIMON SAYS - Dahlia Frame - 3 cards
My favorite of the three cards.
This one was probably the first one I made to experiment with the die.
Only a couple of the little pieces came out on this run through the Cuttlebug. In order to keep all of the little pieces in the bloom, I added dots of glue all around the back side before adding it to the striped piece of designer paper. I do think I prefer the cards where I removed all of the little pieces.

FOUR MORE SIMON SAYS CARDS
Today is the last day our group of ladies will be together and we will start departing for home waiting for another year to roll by so we can do it all over again. Below are four cards using a different "Frame" die from Simon Says. As I prepare this to schedule it to post, I'm really tired so if you have questions, please let me know.

SIMON SAYS DIE - 3 CARDS
This is the time of year when our group of ladies get together for a few days to create, share, chat & laugh and eat! Five members of the group met on Sunday and yesterday another member and myself joined. Once I get home again I'll be sharing some of the cards that we made together and some that I hope to complete.
I'm sorry to say my camera didn't make it this year......neither did my purse......which is a long sorry story in itself. Fortunately I have been able to muddle through with the help of friends.
Yesterday I did have the great pleasure of reuniting with a friend I made in business school MANY years ago. What a pleasure to see her again and give her a big hug.
Bellow are three cards that I made last week. I love this die. There are two others that I will be showing later.

FOUR CARDS - MORE STICKERS USED!!!
Our annual group gathering will be meeting Sunday and so many of the things I use on a regular basis are already packed. That really gave me a good excuse to dig into things that I had to have but had failed to use.
I was determined to use up the rest of the dimensional stickers on the sheet with birds. These two cards are the final ones I made with the birds..........very simple.
The flowers on the two cards below are all from one sheet. There are still a couple of stickers that I need to use. I purchased the K&Company flowers when our group was still meeting at Archivers in Des Moines so it was high time they were used.

PENNY BLACK STICKERS - Christmas Collage
In an effort to use more "things" that I have had for a long time, I ran across a sheet of Penny Black Stickers. All but two of the stickers were appropriate for Christmas cards so I matted them and added them to a card but have not finished them.
This bird was one of the two that didn't look like Christmas to me so I added it to a piece of white card stock and then cut it out with a Spellbinders oval die. Then I cut two more larger ovals and layered them.
I'm not overly fond of this Stampin' Up! color of green but it was the only one I had that really went with the color in the sticker. By adding the two additional mats to the piece with the sticker, I think it turned out about as well as I could expect.
That left only one sticker left on the sheet and I actually threw it away. I just didn't like it.

BIRD DIMENSIONAL STICKERS
A few days ago I posted a card with one of the stickers from this sheet. I wanted to get them used up so these three seemed to work perfectly with the three windows. The Stampin' Up! Bashful Blue card stock was the perfect blue to go with the stickers.

POPPY STAMPS - Chinese Lanterns
This card didn't actually come together the way I intended, but I decided to show it to you anyway. I cut the design using textured gold foil paper and also cut the gold frame.
The card base is brown. I added a piece of vellum under the gold frame. I sprayed the lantern design on the reverse side with an adhesive and added it to the vellum. My intention was to cut the lantern pieces a second time with orange card stock but soon realized it was going to be a real pain to put all of those little pieces into the gold die cut so I colored with an orange Copic marker instead.

USING UP DIMENSIONAL STICKERS
This coming Sunday our group of ladies is having their 12th annual gathering. This year we will be meeting in Ankeny, IA and spending our time playing at Memory Bound Scrapbook Store. I have a lot of my supplies already packed so I am trying to use some things that I keep putting off to the side. Below there are four cards I made last Saturday using up the four remaining dimensional stickers from a sheet.
