SU BIRD BALLAD DP - #10
This time when I thought I was finished I didn't just find one black smudge, I found two! I added two little flowers - one in the upper right and one in the lower edge of the piece with the birds. It seemed like it need one more so I added one to the left side. I need to be more careful about getting my fingers smudged with black ink!

STAMPIN' UP! - Bird Ballad Designer Paper #1 & #2
The sentiment is from a set of three Hero Arts stamps.
The cards I'll be posting for the rest of this week and next week are cards that were made using the "One Sheet Wonder" idea. I had added the designer paper pieces to card bases but hadn't finished them until now. These are the first two of 13 cards I got from one sheet. (Three cards as of this posting are still unfinished.)

FINISHING TWO CARDS
Months ago I had made several cards with this fold and then added the pieces of dp to the front. These two had never been finished and were in my card parts.
For the first one the white butterfly is from a Penny Black die that has three butterflies connected together. I was able to cut them apart and use the middle one.
For the second the floral design is from a Stampin' Up! set and was a card piece that had not been finished.

STAMPIN' UP - Flower Shop
While I was on browsing on Pinterest, I found a card like this and there was a video. I probably didn't need to watch the video to do this one but I followed along step-by-step.
The colors used were Crumb Cake and Crisp Cantelope which I have. I also had the same Beautifully Baroque & Chevron embossing folders for the backgrounds, the Flower Shop stamp set and the SU doilies. I was all set to go.
Since the base of the card is Crumb Cake, I added a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white card stock inside.
The die cut circle was embossed with the Chevron folder. The video showed a sentiment that was added on top of the circle but I chose to use a butterfly from a Martha Stewart punch which had not been used in a very long time.

NEAT & TANGLED DIE - Gardenia Blooms
The Valentine cards I made have already been posted so I chose a "Thinking of You" card.
I hadn't used this die in a while. There was a scrap piece of Yupo paper on my table which had been colored with alcohol inks. I really like the colors under the portion of die cut flowers.
I was nearly finished with the card when I noticed there was a tiny black smudge in the upper right corner. (This happens all too often.) I grabbed a Martha Stewart border bunch that has little butterflies and punched a strip. Then I cut one off and added it. It covered perfectly. I cut a couple more butterflies to add. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

VALENTINE #7
I stamped the "Happy Valentine's Day" first trying to center it at an angle. I then added the Washi Tape strips evenly spaced above and below. This is only one of two cards where a sentiment was on the outside of the card. I'm not sure how I feel about this one.

VALENTINE #6
Only one of the friends who help with the holiday cards for the nursing home and independent living center was able to help this time due to the icy conditions. This friend lives next to me now and it was easy for her to get here. We made 44 of this card for the independent living center. And we made 60 different cards for the nursing home. (I forgot to take a picture of that one.)

VALENTINE #4
I try to make Valentines without a sentiment on the outside and just a "Happy Valentine's Day" inside. I don't have very good sentiments to use inside otherwise. This and the cards from last week are ones that I used for our mailing list and our grandchildren. I have one or two more I'll be showing here this week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,TUCKER!
Our only grandson turns 14 today. This is the card I made for him. He's certainly past the stage for real cutesy cards but I thought this one would still be appreciated.

EASY LAYOUT
I had a 12 x 12 piece of retired Stampin' Up! designer paper that I was actually considering giving away. Then I happened to see a set of cards made using JustRite products and a 6 x 6 piece of dp. So here I go again. For this set of cards I only used the 6 x 6 piece and the layouts are all the very same. I just changed the sentiments. Below are pictures of the pattern of how to cut the pieces and a picture of the card samples. I didn't use the little triangles. I also wanted to keep these very simple so instead of adding a strip of ribbon or twine, I used a skinny piece of the Marina Mist card stock.
