This card was made Sunday with pieces that were in a poly bag just waiting to be assembled.  I have no idea how long ago they had been die cut.  The pieces were adhered to the white layer and matted with SU Bashful Blue card stock.  (The flower pieces had been already die cut in Bashful Blue. And, yes,  fortunately I still have some of that CS.)  The matted piece was then added to a 4" x 5 1/4" of white and then on to a Bashful Blue card bases.

Sunday evening I was watching some YouTube card making videos, and one of the demonstrators happened to mention Bashful Blue card stock and I thought to myself, "I still have some and just used it!"  Stampin' Up! has brought back some retired colors so if it is a color I really like, I'm not getting rid of the inks or card stock because they may be back.

This is the fourth and final card I made with this set.  Like I said on the first post with this stamp set, the stamps sold within 24 hours and are in the mail.  There won't be anymore cards from this set.

A fun fold using the "Nuts About Squirrels" stamps.

Before I did some purging of "pieces" this past Sunday, I had spent a couple of days going through some of my stamp sets that just don't get attention.  The "Nuts About Squirrels" set is one that is so cute but I really didn't use it very much when I bought it.  This is the time of year when squirrels are running and gathering nuts for the winter.  Before listing it to sell, I made four cards with it.  These are two of them.  (By the way the set sold within 24 hours once I listed it on Marketplace.)

Spotlight on Nature

I didn't really "need" this stamp set because I already have so many designs with flowers, but I loved the graceful design.  The butterfly I used on my card is not the one that is in the set.  After I had the card put together I realized I didn't have room for the one in the set since it is bigger.  The one I used has been a favorite that I'll never sell......it's from a set of 3 Inkadinkado butterflies.

A few weeks ago a friend asked me if I had a card that would work for a Baptism.  I didn't have one on hand but made this one for the baby boy.  My friend was thankfully pleased.

We attended a wedding Saturday and this is the card I made for the couple. It is very similar to the one I made and posted in an earlier post.

The bride was absolutely beautiful and the wedding was very special.  The service took place on the roof of the facility where the reception was held.   Rain had been a possibility but the weather couldn't have turned out much better.  The reception was quite elegant.

Thank you for stopping by today!

I've been absent for over 2 weeks but it's not because I haven't been busy making cards.  I just really needed a break from blogging.  The first couple weeks were spent making a lot of cards with  Meandering Meadows dsp and All About Autumn dsp.  Those will be posted later.

Yesterday I made the decision to take some time to purge some things.  I had four Sterlite shoe box size containers with pieces of some stamped designs, die cuts, stickers and embossed pieces.  There comes a time when you have to decide "are you ever going to use these"?  I am now down to two of those containers.  WOW!  Did that feel good!

I pulled a few things and decided to use some of them this morning.  Below you will see five cards I made from pieces that were rescued from those containers.

I just added the "Happy Birthday" to a card that was done otherwise.

This was a piece I recycled from another card.

The two stamped and matted pieces just needed sentiments and a card base.

I had the matted circle but it needed a card.

Thank you for coming back to check out my blog.  I do have a lot of cards made up now and will try to get them posted on a regular basis.

The chevrons were cut from Neutral 6 x 6 dsp with Die-Namics dies.  I chose the Soft Suede and Crumb Cake pieces because I thought they would make a great masculine card.  These pieces were added to a base made from the new Basic Beige cardstock.

This is also a piece of dsp from the Thoughtful Journey dsp collection.  The die I used for the birch trees has trees across the entire die cut.  I cut out a section to showcase the dsp, stamped some birds and added the deer.

Very similar to yesterday's card.

Tracy Bradley has a card on Pinterest which provided the inspiration for this card.  I chose the same section of dsp that she had used.  All I did different, I think, was to use a different label piece and sentiment.  I love the watercolor look to the background.

Tomorrow I'll have another card with a little different take on the same design. Thank you for coming by today!

My basic card was CASED from one that I saw on Pinterest by LeeAnn Greff.  I changed the die cut piece that I added to the front.  The butterfly piece is a die from Poppy Stamps.

Cindy Brumbaugh had a video showing how to make this "Floating Strip" card.  I had made one a long time ago but it was fun to do again using paper from the "Thoughtful Journey" dsp collection.

Recently I watched a video by Jackie Bolhuis where she showed how "doodling" with a gel pen on a piece of dsp can transform the total look of your project.  Below are pictures of two cards that were made from a single 6 x 6 piece of this dsp.

This made 2 very quick note cards.

Two more cards using the "All About Autumn" retired dsp. Thank you for coming by today!
