WASHI TAPE - DAY 2

These tape pieces are a coordinating set and are a fabric tape.  This time I started by stamping the sentiment and then working the tape around it.  I like that the white space at the top and bottom are about equal in size.

Come back tomorrow for Day 3.  Thank you for stopping by today!

A WEEK OF WASHI TAPE - DAY 1

The idea of using Washi Tape this week was started by our Yahoo Group's Color Swap challenge to make a red and white card.  I have quite a few rolls and decided it was time to see what I could put together.

Initially I just did the lower 6 stripes and then stamped "happy birthday".  It just seemed like the top portion was too empty so I filled it in with the same tapes.  It's definitely "red and white".

Rather than cover the front of the card base, I used a 4" x 5 1/4" piece and then mounted it onto the A2 size card base.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Day 2.  Thank you for coming by today!

USING A CARD PART

This beautiful die cut was made with a Poppy Stamps Distressed Benson Corner.  I had the card part laying on my craft table.  I found some Origami papers and chose this one to use under the open portion.  The photo doesn't show it clearly but the die cut is on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of card stock.  The Origami paper was taped to the back and then the entire piece mounted on a white card base which is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

It's Friday so I hope you will stop back on Monday.  I'm playing with Washi Tape and will have some fun ideas.  Thank you for stopping by today!

ON YOUR SPECIAL DAY

One of my mother's friends will celebrate her 100th birthday today.  We know this lady as well so I made this card for her and wrote a personal note inside.  What a special milestone in her life.  I can't even begin to imagine all she has seen in her lifetime!

The stamp I used for the image is Penny Black's  "Dreamy".  I used Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler ink and card stock.

GET WELL

This card was super easy.  I already had a die cut of the Get Well from a Tutti die.  It is such a pretty piece it doesn't need much else to make a card.   The white card stock had been adhered to "Stick-It" before die cutting.  I chose the plaid designer paper from a large stash of papers I have.  I cut it to 4" x 5 1/4" so it was slightly smaller than the A2 size card base.

ONE MORE WINTER SCENE

This is another card to fill my brother's order for cards.  Our sister's husband has a December birthday so this is the card my brother will send him next December.  The designs are from a Stampin' Up! set "White Christmas".  The picture doesn't show it but I ran a line of Stickles over the stamped slope where the snowman sits.  This is a fun stamp set!

A WINTER SCENE

This may seem like a strange card to post right now with Spring just around the corner.  It is one of the many I made for my brother to use.  His son-in-law is a hunter and his birthday is at an appropriate time of year to get this type of card.  The background was made with alchohol inks on Yupo paper and it made me think a little of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).  The two dies used are from Memory Box.

I'm late posting today's card because I have been struggling with income tax returns.  I do our own, but I also do one for one of my granddaughters, her parents and now this year my mother's.  Turbo Tax is a wonderful tool!!!!
