BIRTHDAY CARD FOR MY MOTHER
A few days ago I made a real effort to pull out supplies I had purchased in previous years while our group gathered in Des Moins. This is another card made with some of those supplies.
I sponged three colors of distress inks through a stencil on the white card stock and then fastened the "ribbon" around the edges of the layer. The flowers were made using a die set from Elilzabeth Crafts - "1136 Garden Notes Cosmos".
My mother celebrated her 96th birthday this past Sunday and this is the card we gave her.

MORE FEATHERS
Using the same supplies as yesterday's card, this is a different layout. Before embossing the white layer with the "script" folder, I cut the white feather. I second feather was cut from the very light pink card stock and placed back into the negative portion of the feather. The bird and flowers were added like yesterday.

FEATHERS
Materials for this card were purchased in Des Moines in 2017 including the pre-folded card base which is 4 1/2" x 6 1/4". Envelopes were included. I had intended to use them as soon as I got home but...........we all know how that goes.
I die cut the feather and then used the negative portion of it to sponge the pink "shadow". VersaMark ink was used to be able to add the gold embossing powder to the die cut image.
The bird was cut and then sponged with a light green and pink ink. Final touch was adding the three flowers.

COMBINING PATTERNS
I thought I had cards scheduled to post through the end of the month, but guess I didn't. So there was no card yesterday.
This was a fun card to make using both sides of a designer paper I purchased in Des Moines.

FINAL BEAUTIFUL GIFT WRAP CARD
When we made these cards in Des Moines, they had the green, pink and blue card stock sheets to match the gift wrap. I'm glad I bought some of each so I could do these additional cards at home. I still have more to use and will not waste them. They are just so pretty!
I don't believe I mentioned that the dimensional stickers used on all these cards were from K&Company............but I don't believe they are available anymore.

USING BEAUTIFUL GIFT WRAP #2
I added the dimensional sticker to a green card stock that matched the floral paper.
The dimensional sticker came loose from this piece that was under it. It's not dimensional but was too nice to throw away, so I used i as well. I like that the gift wrap paper shows two butterflies on it too.

USING BEAUTIFUL WRAPPING PAPER
Several years ago when our group was in Des Moines, we made cards using a beautiful gift wrapping paper and dimension stickers. I loved them so much I bought the supplies to make more..........but until recently I hadn't touched those additional supplies. In an effort to be using thing that I was hoarding, I made up several cards. You will see more of them in the next few days.
If you purchase some beautiful gift wrap to do this, you can iron it gently to flatten it. Thank you for coming by today!

GENTLE LEAF COLLAGE - 2 cards
This die will make a great design to use for masculine cards. For the card below I place a piece of Glossy Gold card stock behind the die cut.

HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY, KRIS & RON
Kris is one of the members of our group who meet once a year. She and her husband are celebrating their 50th Anniversary. I had recently received this die cut to use for Valentine's Day but thought it would make a great card for them with the gold glitter paper. I hope they are having a very special day!

TUTTI DESIGNS - Wreath
This card doesn't require any explanation of how I made it. I simply added the die cut wreath to the card and added a white piece of card stock inside for the sentiment to be stamped.

STAMPIN' UP! Baja Breeze and White
This was a die cut I did in Des Moines and assembled into a card once I got home. I love the vertical sentiment and it works so well in the white space of this card. I also have it in a horizontal stamp.

BEAUTIFUL STAMPIN' UP! DP
I'll start off by saying that I really love this card! The dp is from an SU designer paper pack. I "fussy cut" the two flowers and the little blue flower from the paper and die cut the gold, Pear Pizzaz and Soft Suede foliage pieces.

CASING, LYNETTE
One of my friends had dies for three cute little animals when we met in Des Moines. I cut all three but this might be the only one I use. In an effort to get some of the many pieces I cut while we were together, I CASED the card that Lynette made. She posted hers earlier and it was easy to copy it. This will probably be given to my mother to send to one of her great grandchildren.

MEMORY BOX - Simmons Collage
This is another piece from the coloring our granddaughter did using the blues and purple alcohol inks. The die cut is one I bought while I was in Des Moines. The colors Ashlyn used worked very well with this piece of Stampin' Up! card stock. The vertical stamp is from Peddle's Pack. I'm not sure if that is the name of the store or the company who made the stamp.
Thank you for coming by! Hope to see you back here again next week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TARYN!
Today our granddaughter, Taryn, is celebrating her birthday. While we were all away on our trip to South Dakota, we gave her the birthday card early. She always wants something more than just an ordinary birthday card so I pulled out the Inky Antics stamp set and Honeycomb papers. I haven't used them for a long time so it was fun working with them again.
It's a little tricky cutting out the designs with the Honeycomb paper because it is pretty think but I think this came out OK.

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS - Tulips (part 2)
This is another of the cards I made using the Tayored Expression stamp The pink Copic marker was perfect to use with the Stampin' Up! Blushing Bride card stock. I also had this scrap of dp on my table and it seemed to work well with the green leaves.

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS Stamp
The tulip stamp is from Taylored Expressions. I sold it on eBay recently but before listing it I stamped off a few to use. The design was stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Copic markers.

STAMPIN' UP! - Bloom with Hope
I die cut the white lattice piece and stamped the image from the SU Bloom with Hope set. I colored the stamp with Baja Breeze and Wild Wasabi markers. To balance out the design I added my favorite little butterfly from an Inkadinkado set of 3.

STAMPIN' UP! - Daisy Punch
I saw the idea for this card on Pinterest. I made one like this to use as a card swap in June using the scheduled color combination of navy and bright green. Instead of the yellow centers, I made those with bright green card stock and stamped the "Hi!" with the matching green ink.

SIMON SAYS - Mum Flower Frame
This is another of the dies I borrowed from a friend in Des Moines and ordered one for myself when I got home. These make such great dies to use over backgrounds of glitter paper or pieces that have been colored with alcohol inks or sponged backgrounds. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I lined the inside of the card with white card stock to add a personal message.

SIMON SAYS - Cosmo Flower Frame
This is such a beautiful die. I had borrowed the die from a friend while in Des Moines but ordered the die for myself when I got home. I trimmed it to 4" x 5 1/4" and then added a piece of glitter paper behind the flower. The glitter paper is some that Michael's had carried but it is now discontinued. I used a Penny Black stamp for the sentiment on the front.
