Group 2 - Sweet as a Peach

There was a full sheet plus more of this particular pattern.  I really wanted to make some fast progress using it up so lining the envelopes was a perfect way to make it disappear.  Some of the cards were inspired by things I saw on Pinterest.

Group 1

The next pack of dsp that was "under attack" was the "Sweet as a Peach".  That pack of paper is now GONE!  These are the first 6 of 25 cards that I was able to complete.  I will be posting them in groups to let you see what I have made.

I made this quilted card a couple of weeks ago but didn't know what I wanted to use for a sentiment.  I decided to search eBay for a sentiment that had to do with quilts.  I found this one for a great price.  It uses three different patterns of dsp.  These papers are from the Inked Botanicals dsp 6" x 6" pack.  Since I have punches that are 1" and 1 1/4", it makes it really easy to do these squares.

Julie Heitz started a video showing how to make 4 quilted cards by using an 8" x 8" grid.  I didn't want 4 cards so I used just one half of the pieces.....some had to be trimmed down.  You can see her video here.

I think I would have liked this first one better if I had used a different background.  It's pretty plain.

This one is a little better using the designer paper as part of the layout.

The Stampin' Up! "Thoughtful Journey" dsp is gorgeous!  I had made a few cards with it but I ran across a video from Joey Hartman.  She demonstrated several cards using these papers.  I made some changes in mine but made some changes along the way.

I've been seeing a lot of cards using this great sled die.  I  had the opportunity to receive some die cut pieces from a friend so yesterday I spent a little time putting this one together.  I saw a layout like this on Pinteret.  I have a  paper pad from Consortium Craft. All of the papers are plaid in various colors.  I needed to find a dsp that would coordinate with the colors of the sled.  I couldn't have found one any better.  One of the fine lines in the paper is excactly the color of the sled.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I used a Stampin' Up! embossing folder for this very quick card.  Before we left for our trip, I had been working on getting things line...
