This is a second card I made using the "Fine Art Floral" retired dsp.  And once again I used some of the coordinating Golden Garden Designer Specialty paper.  You can see a closer look at the gold outlines below.

When my mother passed in April 2021, the care center had a memorial service a few months later for all who had passed during the previous year.  Each family was given a little rose bush to plant in memory of their loved one.  We babied it and made sure it was watered.  During the winter months my husband had it covered with a rubber tote.  Last year we had a few flowers and it had grown a bit.  We covered it again for a third winter and this year my little rose busy is flourishing.  I think my mother is definitely smiling.

I used retired Fine Art Floral DSP for this card.  There was a coordinating Golden Garden Designer Specialty Paper that matched the design exactly.  I added some glue dots in areas around the dsp so that the layers could be adhered together.    Below you can see a close up of the gold layer.

The Hydrangea Hill dsp collection has two sheets that can be cut in half giving you enough to make either 6 or 8 cards with the beautiful flowers a a border.  I chose to cut the 6" x 12" strips in four pieces that are 5 1/4" x 3".  I made these cards using the book binder style but in the vertical layout.  Instead of adding a coordinating piece of dsp to the left side, I pulled out an old Cuttlebug embossing folder to add a pretty edge.  The embossing on the far left card is actually "debossed".

Notice how the card opens.  The card base is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".  I believe it was scored at 3" and 7 1/4".  I made a belly band to help keep the card closed.

I made this card over a month ago from a video I found on YouTube.  I forgot to make a note of who had posted this fancy fold.

Many people head to the beach on Memorial Day Weekend.  It looks like this mother Sandpiper is leading her babies for a day at the beach too.

I still have a few scraps of the "Sand and Sea" papers and it seemed to work well with the Seaside Bay bundle that I picked up from the discontinued items.
