PTI BUTTERFLY

The butterfly die from Papertrey Ink is one of my very favorite dies. After cutting out the solid butterfly from the white mat, I chose a small flower and the light pink ink to randomly stamp around the cut out area.  It is a little difficult to see the flowers in the images.

ANOTHER OLD SU SET

I like using stamps from the old SU sets that have the tall flowers.  First I stamped the flowers and then used a Spellbinders die to make an embossed frame around the images. I'm sorry the frames don't show up real well in the pictures.

PENNY BLACK - 2 cards using a Poppy Die

First I stamped a background stamp onto vanilla card stock with Crumb Cake ink (I think).  Then I die cut a design and colored it with Copic markers and adhered it to the mat.

For the second card, I used the negative portion of the die cut and sponged color onto a piece of vanlla card stock.  The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts stamp.  Some Wild Wasabi ink was sponged at the bottom and a very light sponging of yellow around the rest of the design to soften it and to finish the card.

STAMPIN' UP! - Fabulous Floret

Same background as yesterday's card but using a stamp from the SU Fabulous Floret set and inked in VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

STAMPIN' UP! - Field Flowers

This looks like it could have been a shadow stamp, but actually I inked up some acrylic blocks and used them for the background.  The flower is from SU Field Flowers stamp set.

STAMPIN' UP! - Blessed Mother

As promised...........no sticker designs this week!  I decided I needed to drag out some of my shadow stamps.  The one i used is a retired stamp from Hero Arts.  The flower is from the SU Blessed Mother stamp set.  The embossed background uses a great design like the shadow stamp.

ALSO USING THE NEGATIVE STICKER

I like the first card the best, but to "get the most for the buck" I try to use the negative portions of these stickers as well.  Why waste it, right?

OK.....you've patiently stayed with me this week but next week, there will be no stickers.  I hope you'll come back again then.

TWO STICKER EXAMPLES

This design is really easy to use and makes lovely cards.  The stickers were simply added to white card stock and the panel trimmed.  Card stocks used are from Stampin' Up!

One more day to go with these peel-off stickers and I promise to get on to something else again.  Thank you for checking out my blog today!

VASES OF FLOWERS

I saw a card on Pinterest using this sticker.  I was having a hard time coming up with colors to use so I "borrowed" the color combination.  One sticker was added to white card stock and the other was added to Stick It double sided adhesive so that I could add glitter and then color.  Sorry the glitter doen't show up well in my pictures, but the card on the right is a bit brighter and is the one with the glitter.

SAME STICKER DESIGN - 3 Looks

Not really fond of this one.  Love the flower but not the background I chose.

Trying to use the negative portion of the sticker.  Seems too plain.

Now this one I like!  I don't think I'll by anymore of this design though.

ANNIVERSARY ROSES

I placed the Elizabeth Craft peel off sticker onto one side of double sided Stick It adhesive paper, added glitter and then colored with Copic markers.  I trimmed the design and mounted on a piece of black card stock.  The SU Blushing Bride card stock was a good match for the color on the roses so I die cut another slightly larger circle and offset the main image.  The black dp is from a PTI paper pack.  Before posting this picture, I was so pleased that I was able to sell this card and others to a former high school classmate.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

No, I didn't send myself a card, but I chose one of my favorites to post today.  The die cut was made with a Dreamweaver die.  The flower and leaves have pieces of dp placed behind the die cut.  Then the piece was matted with the same blue dp and a butterfly was added.

USING ANOTHER CARD PART

I had this stamp off in my card parts for such a long time.  I finally colored it.  It was going to be very difficult to fussy cut it with the oval shape and that cute little bee, so I used a Spellbinders scalloped oval die to cut it out.  The blue Copic color I used for the flowers went well with the SU Brilliant Blue card stock.

STAMPIN' UP! BRICK WALL FOLDER

I actually made this card a few weeks ago.  I had just received the new Brick Wall folder and wanted to use it.  I made it into a window card.  I used a piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock to stamp the design with VersaMark and embossing with white powder.  The stamp design is from the SU Bordering on Romance Set.

HAPPY LABOR DAY and 2 CARDS

They say we celebrate the end of summer Labor Day Weekend, but  I have a feeling that we have some very warm days ahead of us yet even in October.  I hope you are all able to relax and enjoy the day!

Here are two cards I made using a Penny Black cling stamp.  Coloring was done with Copic markers.

TWO STAMPIN' UP! SWALLOWTAIL CARDS

For this one I stamped the image with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with white opaque powder.  Then I sponged Stampin' Up! Baja Breeze over the design and stamped the sentiment with the Baja Breeze ink.

A Baja Breeze card stock is the base for this one.  The butterfly was done with SU White Craft ink and then heat embossed with white powder.  The same procedure was done for the "Praying for You..."

Many will be celebrating Labor Day Weekend with friends over the next few days.
Have fun, but please drive carefully and stay safe!!!

WITH SYMPATHY

I had this stamped image in my card parts for a long time an finally colored it a few days ago.  I used Copic markers so I could shade the coloring on the petals.  The card base was embossed with an SU folder.

PENNY BLACK "Softly"

This is such an easy stamp to use and easy to color.  I used Copic markers to color it.  The color coordinated very well with the Stampin' Up! Tempting Turquoise so I added the panel to that card base.  A plain white panel was also adhered inside to add a message.

PAPER SMOOCHES - Dainty Flowers

These two cards were made with a cute little set of dies from Paper Smooches - Dainty Flowers.

I used watercolor paper for the main layer on this one.  I sprinkled Color Burst powdered ink and then spritzed it well with water.  The two flowers and "hello"were cut with black card stock.  I thought a strip of black under the sentiment would help set off the sentiment from the design.

I made this card a few weeks ago and I cannot remember positively, but I believe the swipes of color were done with markers.  "Happy" was stamped but the "BIRTHDAY" is a die cut.

Thank you for stopping by!

This is the  video  I used to make this card using more retired dsp. After I finished, I was a little dissatisfied with the white background...
