STAMPIN' UP! - Pick A Petal

This was an easy card to do.  I always like black and white cards with a little color added.  I stamped the petals and cut them out.  I used the smallest Spellbinders circle die to cut a center for the flower.

When I started to assemble the card I had a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of the black dotted designer paper.  FIrst I put the flower center on the card with a glue dot which left the edges of the yellow piece loose.  The petals were added with a short strip of adhesive on the back side of the large end and tucked under the center of the flower.

The border was made with a Martha Stewart punch.  After I took the picture, I thought it needed a final touch so I added a little yellow butterfly made from the same paper as the flower center.  (Can you imagine seeing it?)

Thank you for coming by today!

This is very attractive and I like how the flower flows off of the card. I'm guessing that the flower stamp from an SU set. I looked at that one more than a few times but never ended up taking the plunge.

I like the way you put the flower way over on the side. And I like the black and white patterned paper, too. What a pretty card, Vicki!
