Our local librarian does so many fun projects for the children in our community.  In February I gave her a couple of kits for the kids to make for Valentine's Day.  Since I have all but a couple of Easter cards completed, I decided to make a couple of Easter kits for the kids to make at the library.  

This one is extremely simple for them to do.  There are a variety of colors I had leftover from cards I had done for the care centers. 

The color on this card is distorted slightly because I adjusted the brightness.  I wanted to show that the die I used for the bunny does make indentations for details.  This is still basically a simple card.  I made 10 kits of each card so the kids can each make 2 cards to take home.

I made several of these cards for the priests that I send cards to.  The die cuts out the center cross.  I add it back to the card using dimensionals.

This is a fun fold card.  I couldn't find the video that I watched but the measurements are very simple.  The card base is 8 1/2 degrees so I could score at 2" and 3 1/8" again on that side.  I added dsp to the two side panels but didn't add any further dsp to the other sections.  The cross was done with an embossing folder and then trimmed.  The floral spray is from an old SU set that I stamped, colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut it.

I did see two videos that were similar but more detailed. This video and this video are variations on what I made.

EASTER BUNNY TREATS

Last year a friend gave me one of these cute little bunnies.  The two-piece bunny sits on a form that allows for a candy kiss to be inserted for a treat.  I have 44 of these ready to take to the independent living center were my mother live for nine years.  They will kindly furnish the candy kisses.  These can be made very quickly with the Stampin' Up! Easter Bunny stamp set and coordinating punch.  I started these Thursday afternoon and finished the last few this morning.   It was also a great way to use some of the old SU 12 x 12 paper pads.

Westridge in Cedar Rapids handles the cards different than the other three facilities where I deliver cards.  The staff makes these cards available for the residents to give/send to their friends/family/loved ones.  I am grateful that they do furnish the envelope for the residents to use the cards.  The other three facilities sign the cards from the staff and give one to each of the residents.

I have family members who are Irish.  When I had the opportunity to stop at Memory Bound in Ankeny, Iowa, I saw a 6 x 6 paper pad from Echo Park and decided it would be run to surprise the three families.

These are the last of the cards for Meadowview......total 43.  

I was having a hard time coming up with something that I could make and ended up with a really big variety.  It was more fun doing different designs, but in some ways it is easier if I can come up with one design for each of the places where I deliver these cards.

The papers I used on these are from Echo Park 6 x 6 paper pads, 12 x 12 sheets and a 6 x 6 SU paper pack.

 For the last month I have been working on getting all of the Easter cards made for the four care centers.  This is the design I used for the Amana Care Center.  There are multiples of each color......for a total of 40.  

I used papers from one of the 6 x 6 paper packs from Stampin' UP for the 4" x 5 1/4" background.  The bunny is from a Lawn Fawn stamp set.

As of today, I am still working on the last 24 cards of 40 for the independent living center where my mother lived but I will be showing all of the cards I made for the other care centers in the next few days.
