FLUTTERING BY.....

A while back I saw one of Selma's cards using the Graphic 45 butterfly paper and the SU Banana Cream paper and I loved the combination. My card is totally different otherwise. The green accents are Bazzill paper which I had bought years ago in a package of shades of green.

Using Sizzix dies, I cut the large "solid" butterfly and then the light colored one. The top layer is a cream colored textured vellum.

PENNY BLACK FLOWER FIELD

This card was made using another of the stickers from the Penny Black Flower Field sheet that I posted a couple of days ago.

I used a piece of Papertrey Ink white card stock and ran portions of the front through the Cuttlebug using two of the border folders, leaving the mid section blank for the striped dp.

The red border around the flower is part of the sticker. I mounted this sticker on some of the pink card stock from a Basic Grey Bittersweet 6 x 6 paper pad. The striped strip is also from the same paper pad.

I left the inside of the card blank so that it can be used at a later date for a variety of different occasions that might arise.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Today's card is one I made for my sister and brother-in-law's 43rd Wedding Anniversaray. I haven't used the Spellbinder's Labels 10 very much so I was pleased how this card turned out.

The Stamp is from a "Flower Garden" Stampin' Up set which I purchased recently at sort of a garage sale where a lot of crafters brought their things in and "dumped" them on tables for others to go through and buy. It was fun rummaging through all of the items. The embossed background on the card base doesn't show up very well, but I embossed it with a retired Dreamweaver stencil that I also purchased at that same sale. It added a nice texture to the background.

PENNY BLACK FLOWER STICKERS

I have a new sheet of stickers from Penny Black and decided to use it for today's card. Below you will see the sheet of stickers.
This is the card I made using one of the stickers from the sheet above.

The card base is Papertrey Kraft card stock. Part of the front was run through the Cuttlebug using an embossing folder. I had scored a couple of lines but they didn't show up very well so I decided to run the sticker strip over the lines instead. I put the flower sticker onto a piece of SU Wild Wasabi card stock. It was attached to the front of the card using glue dots. The "wishing you well" was stamped using SU Chocolate Chip ink.

JUST SAYING HELLO

I love buying the Basic Grey 6 x 6 pads that have such a nice variety of mix and match papers. This paper is from the "Origins" pad. These aren't colors I usually grab to use, but I like the way the card turned out.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the other two are from an Inkadinkado clear set. The rectangles were cut with my small Fiskars cuttter. The circles were punched very quickly with my Marvy Scalloped circle punches.

THE SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Today's card is using the same materials I used yesterday. This time I had a scrap of the Basic Grey paper and added a scrap of one of the coordinating papers from the same pack. The scalloped punch was a piece I had saved from yesterday's project. I used Labels 11 for the sentiment from Hero Arts to be stamped. The vellum is the same as yesterday's card but I punched the layers with Martha Stewart punches.

The flowers made from vellum give such a delicate embellishment to cards. Have you now realized just how much I like making these?

GET WELL FOR FRIEND

Yes, another vellum flower. I saw that the color of this vellum went so nicely with the 6 x 6 sheet of paper from the Basic Grey pad of "Wisteria". I simply cut the piece of dp to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and adhered it to the front of the card. The white scalloped edge was punched on both sides of a strip using Martha Stewart punch. I used glue dots to attach the flower and then stamped the sentiment from Darcie's and lined it up with my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig -- a great tool.
