THANKSGIVING CARD #7

After I had used most of the designs from one of the sheets, I had these left.  These were all added to adhesive, glittered and colored with Copic markers before cutting them out.

This is just another version of yesterday's card by using the larger die for the "Thanksgiving" die.

I have several more cards for Thanksgiving that will be posted so I hope you will keep coming back.  Thank you for coming by today.

THANKSGIVING #5

I have so many sheets of the Elizabeth Crafts peel-off stickers and really love the sheets with these pumpkins.  For many of them I added them to double sided adhesive sheets and then glittered.  The designs were colored with Copic markers and then cut out.

The die to cut "Thanksgiving" is from Cheery Lynn  Designs and comes in two sizes.  The die cut was added by using a spray-on adhesive which works great with designs like this.  The dots for the eyes are very tiny and hard to handle so I used the Stampin' Up! Chocolate Chip marker which matched the card stock.

ANNIVERSARY FOR A FRIEND

I'll start by saying that the "stuff" that is going around with sore throats, coughing etc. caught up with me and it has been close to two weeks.  For the last several days I just hadn't had the energy to think about posting.  The cough and sneezing are still holding on fiercely but I'm going to try to get back in the groove here.

One of the members of our Yahoo Group lives in Canada so I always try to send her cards plenty early in order for them to arrive on time.  This one got to her earlier than expected.  Her anniversary isn't until November 20 but since she has seen the card, I wanted to use it today.

The dies used for this card are the Poppy Stamps "Tulisa Collage" and the Cuttlebug "Flower Bramble".  The Cuttlebug die cuts a large piece which makes it possible to trim away the part that you want to use.

I hope all of you are staying healthy and avoiding this "stuff".  Thanks for coming by today!

PENNY BLACK Coordinating stamp and die

Today I will be working as the Chairman of the local precinct for city elections.  I'm scheduling this post on Monday since Tuesday will be very hectic.  I'm grateful that this election is not one requiring the very early morning hours that all future elections will be.  This will be a long enough day - 11 AM until 9 PM (I hope) by the time I get home.

These two cards are alike other than the color used for the Poppies and each has a different sentiment inside.

The stamp is part of a PB set Blooming Garden (30-155).  The coordinating die I used is called Field of Dreams (51-030).  .

3 THANKSGIVING CARDS #2, #3 AND #4

Lasts month I posted cards for a nursing home that we made for Halloween using stickers.  I I had purchased them at 50% off.  At the same time I purchased enough sheets of these leaves to use for Thanksgiving 2017 at 50% off as well.  Below are two more of the sticker designs.......and there were others.

There were enough stickers on each of the 5 sheets to make 53 cards for the nursing home plus a few more that I will use for my husband and I to send to others.

THANKSGIVING CARD #1

I missed a couple of days posting cards.  I've been busy cutting pieces for my two friends and I to start making cards for the holidays.  The three of us met here at 9:00 yesterday and after chatting a bit we started an assembly line.

You're not going to believe this...........I couldn't believe it!  We completed 97 Thanksgiving cards before Noon.  Fortunately I happened to have everything all lined up for the Christmas cards as well.   We continued on and completed 53 Christmas cards and 75% of the additional Christmas cards that we need for the nursing home and independent living center.  150 completed and 44 more almost finished.  We worked until around 3:30.  It wasn't all work though .....we had a lot of fun visiting throughout the process.

We made 44 of this card for the independent living center where my mother resides.  I have an over abundance of Last Impressions papers so I chose what I think is called a "weathered" piece of this rust colored card stock to use for some pieces.   The strip at the bottom was embossed with a folder from The Paper Studio.  The stamped design was done with a stamp from Inkadinkadoo and colored with Copic markers.

Monday I will post pictures of the cards that will go to the nursing home.  In the meantime, I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.
