WHO'S BEEN KEEPING ME BUSY?

Taryn (Age 2) - she is such a silly little girl and so fun!
Not sure if she'll ever be a track star but she is trying.......

Tucker (age 4) - ALL BOY!
View the video and you'll see a future NASCAR driver.

I have been absent for three days but I haven't been goofing off. If you viewed the video you'll see who has been keeping me busy. Except for about 4 hours on Saturday, we had these two grandchildren from Thursday morning until yesterday about Noon. Oh how I wish I had their energy. :)

CARD #2 FOR THE GUYS

This may be short...........I have 4 year old grandson and a 2 year old granddaughter sitting beside me and wanting help with things. :)

The background on this card was made using one of the Fiskar plates that looks like waves. The image was done with a brass stencil on sticky paper and then sprinkling on the gold. However after I sprinkled it on and removed the stencil, I realized I had mistakenly used I had accidentally used embossing powder. Before I heat embossesd it, I sprinkled on Crystal glitter to the remainder of the sticky paper and then heated the gold embossing powder. I was glad that it still worked out fine.

This layer was then mounted onto some gold paper and then onto the card base.

Sorry if this is a little confusing -- concentration is difficult with two little ones chattering at me and "needing" things. :) They are sure a lot of fun though.

Thanks for stopping by...........just email me if you have any questions about how this was done.

CARD FOR THE GUYS

I don't do a lot of cards that look appropriate to send the male species. I don't think most men probably just love cards with flowers and butterflies like I do. Sorry but they are going to have to at least put up with a butterfly on this one.

The stamped designs are from the SU Autumn Days set and were stamped with the SU Chocolate Chip ink. I really liked this set but hadn't used it yet and decided it would work with the striped paper I have. It was just too plain so I punched a Martha Stewart butterfly and thought that would be enough of an embellishment on this one.

Thanks for stopping by.............your comments are always appreciated!

CASE OF A FRIEND'S CARD

One of my friends (a/k/a Harriet) made a lovely card using this layout and butterflies. I love butterflies and decided to make one like it in these colors. The yellow and green papers are from 6 x 6 Kaisercraft paper pad "Lilac Avenue Collection". The butterflies and border are made with Martha Stewart punches. I love this layout and I know I'll be making more of them......in fact a variation of this will probably be on tomorrow. :)

Thanks for stopping by..................hope you come back again soon!

CAS with BASIC GREY PAPER

This card doesn't really need to have me tell you how I made it. It is from a 6 x 6 Basic Grey paper pad "Two Scoops". The narrow strip of the green patterned paper is actually a piece I had trimmed off earlier and I decided I liked it to break the contrast of the white right next to the solid green paper.

Thanks for stopping by............please stop again soon.

MOTHER'S DAY #6

It's late and I really need to make this quick but I wanted to get a card posted for the day. The striped and pastel yellow paper is from the 6" Kaisercraft Paper Pad "Lilac Avenue Collection." The image was stamped with my glue pad and then I added the Ranger Embossing Glitter -- yes, it was heat embossed. It was then mounted onto a piece of SU Lavender card stock.

The punched edge of the pastel yellow layer was made with a Martha Stewart punch and the stripe was a scrap I had of the striped paper and I hate to waste such pretty papers.

Sorry if this isn't one of my more organized postings, but I figured the picture was pretty self-explanatory.

Hope everyone has a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY tomorrow. We will be having a family gathering. And remember even if you do not have children of your own, all of you who nuture others should be celebrated as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

This is a card I made using the idea from Pinterest.  I had the same "circle" dies and embossing folder.  The birds are fussy cut ...
