PURPLE PANSIES

If you live in an area that is cold and wintery, you are probably like me and ready to see the beautiful colors of flowers growing again.

I have had this stamp from Penny Black for a long time and I can't remember ever using it before.  It is a very easy design to color.  I stamped it on a piece of white cardstock and colored with my Copic markers.  The image was cut and embossed using a Spellbinders Classic Oval.  I put the oval back into the die and sponged a light yellow ink around the colored image.  (The yellow seems to be distorted in this picture.)  This left a white edge  around the flowers.

I mounted the flower layer onto a piece which had been cut with the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Oval and then onto the card base which had been embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

It is possible that Iowa is going to be in for snow again on Thursday, so I guess I'm going to have to wait a while longer to see any flowers outside.  Thank you for stopping by!
