MEANDERING MEADOWS DSP
Another great collection of designer papers from Stampin' Up! They make a great choice for this style of card. And I love the vertical stamps from the "Courage and Faith" stamp set.

COMBINING DSP PATTERNS
All three of the cards have a flap on the front that opens with a sentiment that was added directly under the front piece. I like the layout.

USING TREE PUNCH
I know I posted a card using this layout earlier this month but I didn't have a lot to share right now. This just shows how even other plaid papers with other colors can be used as well. I hadn't even remembered that one of the sheets in the "Wrapped in Plaid" dsp had thee trees that could be punched out. It was fun mixing and matching the various papers from the package.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRIET!
I hope my friend, Harriet is having a very special day!
I don't know about you, but I am not one of the people out pushing and shoving to get the best Black Friday Deals. I gave that up a long time ago. I don't have to do any Christmas shopping. Our daughters take care of getting things for their kids and save me the headache. I would like to find some surprise gift for our daughters but usually it's in the form of $$$$. They can use that even more.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I have to give credit to Wanda Pettijohn for the design of this card. When I saw her card, I just had to make one like it. Wanda's cards inspire me quite often!

A THANKSGIVING CARD
I made several of these cards. Some were made vertically like this one and some were made horizontally depending on the pieces I was able to cut. I really like this stamp from the Pretty Pumpkin stamp and die set.
Tomorrow is Turkey Day! I can't wait to enjoy the foods we tend to get only once a year. Thank you for stopping by today!

SILVER FOIL DESIGNS
Some of these card are from a One Sheet Wonder project. The pieces were added to a piece of white glitter paper card base. I was surprised that I could stamp on the glitter paper with no problem. These also went to the Veterans Home.
Sorry I didn't get some of these cards cropped. Things are getting busy around here. Thank you for stopping by today!

SOME "FEELS LIKE FROST" CARDS
These are four of the cards given to the Iowa Veterans Home.
Preparations for Thanksgiving are starting today. We don't have a house big enough for our family to gather, especially for meals, our daughter Jennifer is very generous to let us gather there. My husband's sister, our other daughter and I make the food to be served and take it for all to enjoy.
Jennifer told me that her 18 and 16 year old asked her why Thanksgiving has to be at their house. She explained that other daughter's house and ours are not big enough to have 18 people. She knew why they were upset...........that means that the kids have to clean the house. LOL

WINTERY SCENE
This isn't the best picture of my card. I had hurriedly taken pictures of all the cards I gave to the Veterans Home and didn't realize that this one is kind of "foggy".
Today the weather is actually still holding out pretty well for the month of November. My youngest daughter and I are going to a local craft show this morning. It is an annual tradition to see what we can find. Then this evening the local Legion has Bingo. We play 20 games and they give away 10 turkeys, 10 hams and some door prizes. That also has become an annual tradition. Our family has actually been quite lucky with our winnings. One year we left with two turkeys and a ham. Last year we won twice. All but one of the winnings were given away. IF we win anything again this year it is likely going to be donated to a family down the street. They have the sweetest little boy, "Duncan", and walk by our house a couple times a day with their dog. We have kind of befriended them since they are new to our community and such a nice couple.

USING DIE CUTS - 3 Cards
The first two die cuts were made using shiny gold foil card stock and the third die cut below was made using glitter paper. All of the navy backings were embossed first to add some texture.

ROBIN ARMBRECHT'S VIDEO
I already have the beginnings of my 2024 Christmas cards. I plan on continuing to make holiday cards so I'll have a head start on the cards I want to make for the Veterans Home again next year. I have so many beautiful papers and want to make 2024 cards even more special.
A few days ago I watched Robin Armbrecht's video for this type of card. These are the first two I made. I'd like to make more but step them up a bit with more of focal point on them. You just need four coordinating pieces of designer paper. Cut them 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" and space them out on an A2 card base.

CANDY CANE CARDS FOR VETERANS
Pictured are just three of the cards where I used the Sweetest Christmas dsp and coordinating candy cane stamp and dies. This is a fun set to work with.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ABBY!
Yesterday our Granddaughter, Abby, celebrated her birthday. She is no longer a teenager. She is now 20 years old.......and making her Grandpa and Grandma wondering how we got this old.
This is the card we gave her. I usually try to make something that is a fancy fold or atleast beyond my normal cards. This one has a belly band which slips off to a fun inside.
I think this is called "an explosion" card.

TIDINGS OF CHRISTMAS DSP
Eleven of the cards using the Tidings of Christmas dsp. These are some of the cards that were delivered to the Iowa Veterans Home on Friday. I wasn't able to meet the lady who would be taking care of signing the cards and handing them out. However, we did meet a special lady who was volunteering there. She was preparing packaged treats for the veterans. An organization had donated enough treats for everyone at the Iowa home but also for several other homes for veterans. We also saw two large boxes that contained 500 pairs of socks that had been donated. This was so much fun making the cards so I decided I am really going to try to make Easter cards for them in 2024.
